My only qualm as with any 3rd party marketplace platform, you don't get to own your customers. Tik tok does. You don't get to stay in touch with them with email marketing, so you really don't get to nurture your audience and encourage additional sales. This puts a business at risk and devastating loss if the platform ever went down, got banned, or decides to ban you legitimate or not. Do you have any word of advice on those concerns to anyone exploring the opportunity?

I went through all the steps but I do not have the first button "product marketplace". I received the email from tiktok that my account was approved. I don't see anyway to add any products. I also received a message that since my accounts were LINKED, I would not receive commissions???

I have been a part-time seller with another platform for years and am now considering becoming a TikTok shop seller, although I'm not sure if it's the right fit for me. From what I understand, TikTok seems to have stricter policies and expectations for sellers compared to what I'm used to. I have a question regarding starting small. I’m thinking of listing only 20 at a time initially, since I will manage the inventory myself . Do you think this approach will work for starting on TikTok Shop? I know this might not be how most people begin, but I'd appreciate your advice on this strategy. Thanks again

I’ve linked my account to my seller account but when I go to a product and click “ADD”, it says “NO ACCESS. Your account isn’t in the TikTok Shop Affiliate program. Contact customer support if you think there’s been a mistake.” Is this because I just made this account today and it hasn’t been approved yet? Does it take a few days after creating and linking the accounts to get approved? I am starting completely from scratch with zero followers. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!

I have found there are different rules and ways of doing things as the months go by comparing older videos to what they are requiring now. It just keeps changing and trying to weed my way through it. Could we set our daily cap to less than 100 initially to gauge the demand on our kitchen and potentially increase it as needed? Since we’re also fulfilling online orders through another platform, we’d like to start with a manageable cap. Additionally, how does the system handle items that sell out? Is there any penalty associated with that?
