Can I use this for dc and what controller can I connect these wires to?

MTH has a better smoke unit, BLI has the stronger puller and better quality engine. If only BLI could produce a smoke unit like mth’s or one that comes close.

I solder my dropper wires to the bottom of the rail joiners myself. (cheaper than buying those ones that have the wires attached) having the droppers on the underside of the rail joiner means they are completely hidden and every join in my flexi track gets dropper wires attached to the bus feed. I do solder the rail joiners on the outside of the rail only and my system means I never have any connection issues. especially around turnouts/point work.

That's Really Great idea and your video is Excellent Very Exceptionally Clear and Extremely helpful. I have 136 diesel locomotives and half of them are DC and the other half is DCC. After watching your fantastic video. I bought 8 of those switches for my 2 mainlines and 2 of my secondary lines and 4 for my industry interchange lines. My 5 layouts are interconnected. This will work perfectly with my NCE power cabs and MRC power packs. Thanks again for sharing your Great video.

Did you know that 4449 was saved by laziness? This is a very interesting true story. So the city of Portland, Oregon wanted to save a single SP locomotive. 4449 along with her sisters were about to be scrapped. 4449 just so happened to be at the front of the line of engines destined to be scrapped. So, they chose 4449 because it was the easiest to move. She survives to this day as the sole survivor of the SP’s GS-4 northern fleet

I am a proud owner of the 2020 release of the mth big boy with proto sound 3. I have the modified oil tender version with the smoking whistle. the draw bar situation is just fine because they included 2 holes in the draw bar for adjustment of how far apart you want the locomotive from the tender. The deck plates do indeed touch each other even on the longest setting. The sound you described coming from the tender is correct however you can purchase a $15 high quality speaker to replace it with. There are some details that are inaccurate but most of them can be fixed with some black paint. Having these facts in mind, in my opinion it makes it all worth the money.
