#camping again! So so glad i did I've missed it, (and him but dont tell him!)
We went to local permission woodland for a nice and chilled camp, using some knwlwdge of Hammock Camping, Bushcraft skills and general outdoor knowledge to peice together a great return camp!
I used my bespoke Hammock Set Up, or the Phoenix as I call it... using a plethora of Cheap Gear that i modofoed to work together as an all in one set up that all just lives together!

Stupid. He doesn't show now to connect the anchor cords, which is the toughest part and what keeps the hammock from flipping over.
I showed the knot during set up. Surely most people know how to put a peg in? I just used a simple cow hitch.

what happens if the ridgeline is too tight?
You adjust the knots to suit you mate. I've got a hammock that has two settings on shorter for when with my wife in same hammock as it widens the material and longer when on my own. About 80 and 85 % length of the Hammock.
@@OscarOutdoors22 I mean, e.g. when the trees are far and the ridge line is so tight I can"t bend it anymore - what's the harm?
@lukastux3024 no harm mate if the ridge line is set like in the vid it won't matter if they are 20 ft apart or 10 ft.. the ridge will stay the same

Watching two respected, skilled and experienced woodsmen faff about trying to start a fire... love it. The common touch is what you blokes bring to our hobby. We've all had fires start off one match and we've all had to faff about for ages to get it going and keep going. So glad you don't edit out the reality.
