custom, no ROS at all

@@paesolveerakitti I see, so it's a kind of Visual-inertial odometry with loop closure detection over a graph.
I love the honest sharing of the robot bumping the wall or the phone mount coming loose. These things happen. But using an old commodity phone (which we all have lying around) is brilliant. What's the software stack like? Where's the code running for each part of the system, and how does the robot's android device talk to the motors?
Nooo why not add simple code that allows the robot to follow one around...

Greetings! We are located in Jacksonville, FL. This robot is a low-cost experimental platform for embodied advanced AI. The goal is to answer the question of "what would a gerneral-purpose household robot look like, what functions can it perform best, what would people use it for most, and how much would it cost to commercialize it?"

Great project. How do you use the encoder for the wheels and motor?
I used PWM motor controller, the position and rotation feedback of the entire robot is purely from vision

@charlesse7en825 ESP32 is your friend. I don't even know how to code, ChatGPT did all the heavy lifting, I just press buttons and iterate until I get what I wanted

I'll take that as a compliment when you ask if it's made in Unreal Engine! It's actually Unity. Unity has really great capabilities that they don't say much about. You can actually explore that on Reach Explorer! It's basically like Roblox, but with high end graphics and multiple platforms.
