    I came here after purchasing a used frame. Man mine does not even look like this but has stickers as HEMNES frame. Unless IKEA changed designs. The side rail do not attach the way your does, the tight nut style. And my headboard has those vertical slots going all across the frame. Problem is I am missing one of the 4 cam locks and just spoke with Ikea, they cannot tell part number for it from image. Amazon sells an entire hardware kit and it is in that. I am toast for buying a used IKEA product, these things can never be put back together.

      @navinl186 Hi there, Thank you so much for watching my video and the feedback. Yes, that is a risk when you buy second hand, sellers sometimes are not responsible enough to make sure you have everything you need. I've gotten missing parts from IKEA for free in the past. Possibly, you can research online the manual for Hemnes beds to see if you can find the part and number. Next possible a visit to ikea with some of the parts (the cams) you have may help them pin down what you need. Good luck with your quest Thanks again for watching my video and the subport👍🏾

    Great video bro but I feel like you could've saved some more money by not replacing the hose reel. I was able to use the original screws for the Top of the bracket that screwed into the unit But I used slightly longer screws (about 3") that I found on my own to secure the other side of the bracket to the wall studs. You can verify the length by tapping into the wall stud with your drill as a slight pre-drill hole. I did want to take any chances. The brackets attached well. It's still in place. Another cheap thing that I've used is to wrap one of those large contractor trash bags around the trunk, but making sort of an inverted umbrella (this is ONLY for the backyard, it looks ugly as hell if you do this in a front yard tree that anyone can see from the street.) You need to cut the bag in one side. Pass a piece of wire like if you were sewing it to the bag's opening so that the bag can be maintained stretched wide, the other side will be wrapped around the tree with some rope or another piece of wire. The top wide ring needs to be held higher by using some string from the branches or some more wire. This is not a very good looking solution but it's super cheap. And you can fix or replace the trash bag whenever it's needed. I only put it when the fruiting season is about to start so that squirrels don't damage the fruit from the trees. They get very scared of the bag when they try to climb the tree and don't know what to make of it. And it's so wide that they cannot jump because they'll have to do it sideways. This is a good alternative when you have trees that have many upright lower branches, like plum trees, because wrapping the sheet metal is very difficult with that conical shape. The metal is good when you have a nice single cylindrical trunk.

    • @TowneBlvdTiy
      @TowneBlvdTiy 2 месяца назад

      @@SomeoneCommenting Hi there, Thanks for watching my video and the feedback. That is a very detailed overview for your solution. Great suggestion and If it works that's a victory in itself. • @SomeoneCommenting
    @SomeoneCommenting 2 месяца назад

    That metal sheet method works because I've done the same thing. You just made an error: when you wrap the metal you need to make sure that the top turn *overlaps* the bottom one so that you don't leave an edge for the squirrel to hold on to. It has to be completely slippery with no edges and no gaps available. Therefore, you need to roll it *FROM THE BOTTOM UP* so that each top turn is placed above the previous one, making sure that you cover the edge as you go up. You may need to use more nails around the trunk to make sure that you have the sheet correctly in place.

    Here I thought you were making some sort of tool rack, which is what I've done with a couple old box springs, nails/hooks in the wood and little wood/minifridge pieces to make shelves on it. You had the wire frame coiled up in a circle I thought you were gonna put that on a lazy susan and make one better than I did...thanks for the idea though! The fabric that comes on them is actually fairly unique, like waterproof shadecloth, it comes in handy now and again

    It’s odd how my top drawer is not coming all the way out like yours. How come I fix that? I notice that one metal slider comes out was compared to the other one

    • @TowneBlvdTiy
      @TowneBlvdTiy 2 месяца назад

      Hi there,. Thanks for watching my video and the feedback question. Yes that is odd, to possibly fix check the side boards to make sure the space between the sliders is the same on both sides. If not one of the sides may need to be turned upside down. However, that would mean taking the unit apart,😟. This may also solve the slider problem. Hopefully that helps. I know this video is 2 years old but i used it to install these same blinds. The hardest parts were screwing the brackets in and snapping the blinds in them. I didn't want to pay anyone because it seemed so easy but I really struggled putting them up. They are nice once they are installed but it was not easy for me. I think i lost a few pounds installing them 🤦🏾‍♀️

    There's no holes on the top of my Alex Draws? They are all on the bottom???????

    • @TowneBlvdTiy
      @TowneBlvdTiy 3 месяца назад

      Hi there, Thanks for watching my video and the feedback question. Yes, you have the top and bottom in reversed, you'll need to undo both and flip them, whilst you are at it please pay attention to the side boards to ensure those are also on the correct sides and the rigt spacing for the drawers to fix properly. I point this out briefly in my video. Good luck with your project 😄 Thanks again for watching and the subport to help me grow my channel👍🏾

      I did the same thing because I followed the instructions. I dont really get hom im supposed to attach the wheels then because the wheels are clearly only on one side...and I need that side on both top and bortom

    • @TowneBlvdTiy
      @TowneBlvdTiy 25 дней назад

      @@Nevolet hi there, The thought Is that If you are going to attach the TableTop then you don't use the wheels as the unit becomes unbalanced. Or the legs of the tabletop is designed to work or hit the floor with the desk without the wheels. Therefore you don't need the holes on the bottom. Hopefully that helps Thanks again for watching my video and the subport to help me grow my channel 👍🏾

      @@TowneBlvdTiy yeah I just realized it was different options and if you have a top then you can't use the wheels. Luckily it was a quick thing to fix. Thanks for the quick response.
