I'm so sorry that's not how your parents would react. you deserve better. but also, it's not unrealistic for parents to react the way these ones do! many parents are accepting, it just sucks not all of them are. and there are a *lot* of scenes with unaccepting parents on TV. fewer in animation, though Barney struggles with his family refusing to stand up for him to his transphobic grandma. I think the idea with these is for them to show the better possibilities, to give queer kids hope and to be an escape from not only what's too many people's reality, but what also is shown often on TV, and was all the rep we really got for a while, which is queerphobia, and constant trauma for queer characters. anyway, sending hugs. I hope things get better for you!

Probably. But that is also a good thing so the kids don't grow up to be a bully or a kid can comfortably come out and don't commit suicide. Teaching kids LGBT community doesn't turn them into lgbt. It's not a disease its hormonal
