Good ranking! Until I Feel Nothing is definitely my favorite from them and probably my favorite Deathcore album, but im biased as it was the fiest album of theirs that I heard and was one of several albums that sold me on Deathcore. It was also the beginning of the strong Black Metal influence that would define their sound from that point onward. Hell Chose Me is also an incredibly solid album. I'd probably put Until I Feel Nothing, Hell Chose Me, and Slow Death in S Tier. Either way, Carnifex is my favorite Deathcore band, they've just been so consistent in quality, and i can't wait for the new album

You didn't know what band Chino Moreno is in? Bruh you gotta do a deep dive into Deftones. Also, that's easily one of the best features in any deathcore song, he killed it on that.

I absolutely enjoy Daemon, its so evil and each song stands out just like DMDS. Your ranking pretty much mirrors mine, its almost identical. Chimera, DMDS and DAEMON are all S tier for me.

My ranking: S: Chimera, DMDS A: GDoW, Wolf’s Lair Abyss, Daemon B: Ordo Ad Chao, Esoteric Warfare C: Deathcrush Great ranking video! I’m with you on most of these, but imo Wolf’s Lair Abyss is by far their nastiest work ever. The drumming is insane, Maniac’s vocals sound fucking ridiculously evil, and I love how it bridges the gap between DMDS and GDoW. The fact the closing riff of the EP is the opening riff on GDoW is so cool, and something I don’t see too many other artists do. Truthfully, I love every Mayhem record for different reasons- unlike most bands who try to linearly progress and evolve their sound from album to album, Mayhem have seemed to always opt for lateral shifts, so no two records from them have ever sounded the same. Even Daemon, despite having similarities to DMDS, still feels radically different in tone to the point where I’d maybe even call it the inverse of DMDS- it captures a grand, fiery hellscape sound rather than a cold, necro one. I’m also with you on Ordo Ad Chao being very over-hated. The atmosphere conjured by that record (and Esoteric Warfare too to a slightly lesser extent) is so unsettling and unique.

That was a great ranking. I started listening to them back when I was 15 (21 now) and slow death is hands down one of my favorite albums ever. If slow death didn't exist hell chose me or World war X would have taken its place.But you are right when it comes to ranking carnifex albums, I can't simply pick one...I enjoy all of them.

I’m also very excited for a potential new CG album this year, but as of right now it somehow seems like we’re gonna get another Darko album first 😂 Here’s my ranking: S: Evolve EP A: My Damnation B: Eternal Nightmare, Ashes to Ashes C: Chelsea Grin EP, Desolation of Eden F: Self-Inflicted I’ve been a massive fan of the Evolve EP ever since I stumbled across the video for “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” during my freshman year of high school. I’d say it’s my favorite of their work, especially since it’s so short. Every song hits for me and I can easily jam the entire thing front to back whenever. I’m totally on board with all of your points about My Damnation too! The vocals on that record are nuts, but I also think the atmosphere the entire record creates is so unique and so rarely talked about. Cursed is also my second favorite CG song. I have a lot of nostalgia for the summer Eternal Nightmare dropped and seeing them play songs for it live for the first time ever on Warped Tour with Tom. It’s got some bangers on it (The Wolf, Across the Earth, Hostage, Outliers), but I still think it didn’t quite reach its full potential. I love J Rich’s guitarwork on Ashes To Ashes but I’ve never really been able to get the full record to click for me. Their early stuff is fun too, but not quite my vibe. And yeah big agree on Self-Inflicted being a total miss.

I’ve got: S: Hell Chose Me, Slow Death A: Die Without Hope, WWX B: Until I Feel Nothing, Dead In My Arms C+: The Diseased & Poisoned D: Graveside Confessions I agree with a lot of your points, especially about Die Without Hope really growing on me (imo Where The Light Dies is their best song), but I still slightly prefer the slower, more blackened material on Slow Death. Totally with you on Hell Chose Me being GOATed though! I’m a massive WWX fan though- I don’t think the highs on that record quite hit the 3 records I’ve got above it, but it’s such a consistent and easy to listen to record that I always end up jamming it (the short runtime is a huge upside to it for me). Until I Feel Nothing has really grown on my over the past 6 months, but I agree some of the tracks blend together. I absolutely adore the pure MySpace br00tality on Dead In My Arms and The Diseased & Poisoned (the breakdowns and production DIMA are especially nasty), although I for sure prefer their later material. I can’t for the life of me truly get into the new record though. It’s got some absolute bangers but it’s way too long, the Korn cover is weird, the re-recorded songs are whatever, and most importantly to me the production/mix is really murky. I agree that Scott sounds incredible on it though. Had they cut down the track list and had it mixed better, it could have easily been one of their best.

Great video! I love Thy Art so much, and yeah that second half of Human Target is so underrated, especially Eye For An Eye! I’m with you on the singles (notably Make America Hate Again as you mentioned) being the weakest on the record. I’ve got: S: Dear Desolation A: The Adversary, Hate B: Human Target, Infinite Death C: Holy War I can’t really rank The Depression Sessions since it’s only two Thy Art song, but You Will Know Another is my favorite song by them. Super underrated! And like you said none of these records are really C- it’s just in the context of their other work. For me, they’re one of the most consistent deathcore bands around
