      I know about the draft, but you caught the leading pack without it,and they weren’t fighting that hard yet. My friend Mikus had an awsome engine and the Runoffs were coming up. The decision was send it back to Noble or just freshen the valves. We sent it back, it was not the same when it returned. It’s a difficult decision because sometimes the magic just happens and you don’t know why. I’m going to be in your area in a week or so. Probably treacherous with the sprinkles ... never really knowing it it's going to be WET in the next turn. Suggest you might want to open up your camera brightness a step. I'm sure it was 'dark'... but the Sat race showed the same lack of brightness. Also.. interesting that you seemed to be running the same ... or even a tad higher top speed in CCS as SLICKS.. even with the sprinkles. • @jimallen5366
    @jimallen5366 Год назад

    IMHO you should have been on the podium. Forget the yellow mistake and getting sideways off the curb, shit happens. Those were difficult conditions with the damp and inconsistent traction. I’m sure you have seen this. But, it seemed you were consistently getting beat coming off the corners. That was because of your approach and arc through the center usually left you a little wide at the apex and not rotated enough for a fast exit. When you made a good corner they weren’t driving away from you. A big plus is that when you get back to the throttle you are full on it. I’ve seen videos where the driver is on/off the throttle on acceleration and that’s not fast. I ran Vees for 15 years and I had the same problems. I was too eager to get into the corner and slow out. Once I fixed that…multiple wins and lap records. Catching those guys on the straight shows you have a very good car/engine. I think I saw 118 mph once! You looked faster through the twisty stuff than the guys around you. Your huge advantage is that you have a video to analyze, we didn’t. Good luck, love the videos!

    Get closer when drafting. Sometimes it’s better to stay close behind so you both go faster to catch the guy in front. You’re in a good car, be patience at the right time. Just little tactical things to learn. At the end of a chess match the players usually have pieces that move differently. Same in Vees. You have to work out how to use your strengths to cancel the opponents.
