guild wars 2 is an amazing game there is so much to do! fractals, raids, wvw (my fav) or crafting a legendary the elite specs are also one of th ebest features you get a new way to play a class

I picked the game back up almost 2 years ago because I didnt like the game at launch because I was expecting gear progression(I was at school with a lot of time on my hands well not anymore). I think the OG team created a masterpiece. I like the combat so much I won't be able to play another MMO ever again(I tried TAL but the combat is so bad). I've been playing the PVP and WvW 99% of the time and I'm really amazed by the deep combat system. Why I'm starting to cut back on the game is I farmed Legendary WvW gear that was so grindy I burned out from the game. Not because of the gameplay but because the Balance is dog**** the balance team is doing a really poor job. 4 updates per year to the WvW and Pvp modes are not enough so what happens is you are fighting the 4 most meta specs for up to year and a half at a time. When I started playing PVP the Spellbreaker was overperforming and they buffed it like 4 patches in a row making PVP absurdly unplayable. They finally nerfed it 3 months ago but Spear Willbender and Spear Mesmer still remain. The little updates they are doing to WvW actually impact the game in a negative way - new Scoring System and Siege. And people are hacking in WvW and anet is not doing absolutely anything

Why not lvl in the dwarf zone??? It’s so typical to quest in the human zones. Like every videos of people playing wow for the first time pick those zones. It woulda been refreshing for the dwarf starting area this time.

Side note, background music is perfectly fine. Your voice comes through loud and clear at all times. This video is pretty interesting. It's making me think maybe rotations were not introduced just as a fun new experiment, but because huge numbers of people were simply unable or unwilling to think on the scale of 5 to 10 seconds, but were willing or able to on the scale of 0.5 to 1.0. "Oh no I'm going to miss my cooldown" is not fundamentally different from "oh no I'm going to pull that extra mob," other than time scale.

i promise everyone here, core maps are fun and beautiful! Expansions are even better! and the mounts are best in the mmo world, lastly the community is so helpful! even if your anti social i still recommend finding a casual guild (highly recommend)

Mate, the audio is too loud. Topic for the video seems fun to have going on a second monitor, but the audio mix makes take up too much space. I'd recommend to stay away from the "jolly" songs at 09:10 on onward. Keep it ambient, pref WoW ambience. With just 300 views I*d almost recommend reuploading the video with adjusted volume!

I would add one thing regarding looking at guides for builds. Not locking yourself into the "current hotness" build that's 1% better under ideal conditions so you see it everywhere, definitely. Most builds you see often lack that warning noting "Hey, this is optimised within an inch of its life, you don't have to go this far". However, a thing that's often overlooked is encouraging newer players or people still learning some systems to look at a build guide, and then kinda reverse-engineer the *why* of how it's made. Stuff like "Grant yourself Regeneration when you have Resolve", then taking that and looking through to see "okay, now where does Resolve come from with how this is built?" lets you start to peek behind the curtain. There are a lot of things slot in with one another, and looking at a build that somebody really well-acquainted with the systems has put together with things that work well together can be a great learning experience and jumping-off point for experimenting.

It’s the most complete MMO I’ve found, and I can take a break and not lose any ground. Also the ability to change spec on the fly whenever wherever is just awesome. I especially love how the levels scale per zone. I can boost to 80 but still go through the entire storyline quests and it lowers my level when I go to those lower level zones. I also really love the zone meta events.

I just back after some long break. Still feels at home and cozy. Still i have my shit worthy , still i have tons of progression and achievements to accomplish. Still have to get to t4 fractals. In 3 years whenever i logged in casually the world was full. Everywhere. Each time someone thinks or says that Guild Wars 2 is dead, another new account is born❤ Your video came at the right time for me. Made me realize what i have missed all this years. I'm someone who plays all professions/specializations (including core specs) from core to the lastest expac, and while core classes can still hold up in later expacs, it's not as fun as using any of the specializations. I dunno how else to explain it haha

What really impresses me is how ANet managed to make an undead area without it being grey and brown.

14yr wow vet, XIV around 5yrs, found GW2 at start of covid. No more feeling like I have to do dailies or fall behind. Life happened and I had to take a 2yr break. Recently came back and I could jump right back in. No gear grind. No having to catch up on anything but story/exploration for mastery points. You get to do what you WANT to do, not what you feel you have to do to be viable. After the freedom GW2 gives I couldn't go back to vertical progression and that pressured neverending treadmill. Great video, summed up so much very well!

I like GW2 but i do hate the paid inventory/qol stuff, if you are not fine w dropping a games worth on QOL dont bother playing. (try it out and decide if its worth, personally i enjoyed the game almost 400h)

Actually I tried gw2, then I got involved into argue with group of players and I was called ignorant for calling male character "him". I think this would be great if topic of genders would be totally forbidden. I'm so tired of this sh*t. Despite this one incident I really enjoy the game

Great video, i love it. On that begining think, i play game since 2018., but i woched it playing from begining. My junger brother, gamer, wos playing it from lounch all day long for 2 years as a mein game. Later 6 years as he upgraded comp i could put togeder something that i could try my first mmorpg in life. I played before in my colege days games like Fallout2, 3 and 4, Skyrim, and some others... Now u play only Guild Wars 2 werry casualy but i love it. I loved first 2 years my free-to-play gameplay as much as now wen i have up to date with story and all. Just hard-core endgame, Raids, chalenge mode stuff and PvP i avoide, i am still noobe there but i have allmoust all Legendary Armors and trinkets, round 10 Legy-weapons and its soo CooL. Game is as good as comunity of players around it.✨️🐣✨️

I love that for the downed skills portion, you show the elementalist's downed skills. Anyone who's ever played ele is very familiar with that set of skills when starting out.

Coming from WOW, I must say that the friendliness of the gw2 community is commendable. There's some toxicity here and there but that's to be expected from an mmorpg, its non-existent comparing it to the toxicity level of wow.

Guild Wars 2 is a great game, but for me after playing since it's release has gotten quite bored of it and the same goes for WoW.

72GB is a bit much for a game for me but hey, Might as well give it a try if it is free.

I met my wife playing GW2. She travelled half-way around the world to come live with me. We still play together. These days I'll play for a few months, then go play something else, but I always come back sooner or later. Even if I'm no longer as patient with some of the annoying shit the game has, it still holds a special place in my heart. The day we leave for good is gonna be hard, cause it's what brought us together.

I transitioned to Guild Wars 2 from FFXIV, and boy, it was the best decision and experience I've had in any MMORPG. The laid-back vibe, exploration, immersive open world, and the joy of collecting-it all just feels RIGHT.

Same f or me. I´m a "solo-mmo"-player that finds herself regular dragged in some smaller or bigger mass-events with others. But to be honest, after all the mmos i triedd over the years, the community of GW II is the best. Never found any other gamecommunity that is so little toxic, but so much helpfull. One of many points why i love GW II. The gameworld, the mechanics and aaaaaaaall that many stuff and happenings around you, sooooo much to do. I really hope they´re keeping the good stuff up. also in the next GW that will hopefully come.

I don't get anymore the rationale for The Game Awards. I know Space Marine 2 lost to Black Myth: Wukong on Best Action Game, but both should've be on Game of the Year award and Black Myth: Wukong being the overall winner. Instead Astro Bot, a game most players don't care at all, won. Just Space Marine sales are about 3x bigger than Astro Bot, people actually play this game.

you me and every fire wizard ever wish the core specs were better, haha seriously, i did have an idea but it probably wouldn't work, which is make the 3rd slot and elite slot and buff which every spec in the 3rd to make them better.
