    What I most admired about Roy and Dale was their love for the Lord. They did not compromise with the world, including Hollywood. I will always respect them for their beliefs and behavior in life.

    Dusty really looks like his dad but heavier. Dusty lost his Mama at 3 days old. What a blow to Roy. Then he married Dale. Fantastic parents for Dusry. Always wondered why Dusty wasn't in movies. He did however sing with " Sons of Pioneers" in their later years. Need to see more of Dusty. 😍

      Rarely do the children of the stars gain the same status. And sometimes you have to ask yourself if that's fair for the child, Hank Williams Jr had a hell of a time....Everyone Expected him to be the exact carbon copy of his father. And just because he could write the songs doesn't mean Hanks alcoholism would be a good example for his son to follow

    My late grandfather George Walker Lewis, met Leonard Slye at a rodeo in Roswell N.M., not sure what year,must have been sometime between 1935 & 1939, because my mom was born in 1939 & my grandad dropped out of the rodeo circuit, to be a father!

    Lovely Dale is shown ( unfortunately rarely ) wearing fancy cowboy ranch pants similar to Roy's Nudie smile pocket and accent piping trim to accent pockets, pant leg seam. Great looking cowboy pants for male and of course beautiful women look very sassy, foxy in men's pants.

    I have a Magna V65, the larger version of the V45. It's a great one. I felt happy, hearing Dusty saying Roy Rogers rode the same kind of bike (and same color)! The Honda 90-degree V4 engine is powerful and smooth; it was an immediate predecessor to the engines in supersport bikes.

    Dale Evans' roles varied from film to film...usually she played an independent woman or city gal who wasn't that crazy about cowboys, horses or the west..but she didn't always ride a horse and hardly ever fired a gun. It wasn't until the TV show that she got Buttermilk a gelding which she could handle and carried a pistol. It was a .38 police revolver but she didn't do the trick shooting that Annie Oakley(Gail Davis) did.

    😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂Dusty, Thank you so much for that memory!, I am a retired Florida motorcycle cop, and I also grew up watching your folks every single Saturday morning in the early sixties watching reruns of the TV show ! I also saw him every weekend at the movies on Saturday afternoon.... Your Dad (and my own Naval Officer Dad) taught me right from wrong, And a love for animals... I started riding horses in the 1950s... I am sixty five today, and I still ride ... my kids had horses growing up and and my twenty three year old daughter is a horse trainer and barrel racer... she was introduced to your father’s movies as soon as she could walk ... thank you for sharing ...

    Thanks Dusty, Your Dad was my idol growing up ... I guess I learned his fashion sense ... I had a beautiful purple ‘96 Honda American Classic 1100 ... I was a motorcycle cop in Florida after growing up on the back of a horse my entire life... I’m now 65.... I still ride horses, and I still ride motorcycles... You and I both had great role models ... oh, I’ve been playing guitar (C & W) since about 1967.... thanks for the memories !

    I was a kid in Waco Texas. Roy came to the rodeo. He did his show and when it was over he rode all around the arena on Trigger, shaking hands with every kid that came down. I did not wash my hand for a week.💜

    Junior, you are a disgrace. Couldn't wait for parents to die, to sell everything through auction. Millions and millions could still have enjoyed the articles through original museum and tours of Roy's home. You disgust me.

    • @robertcochran427
      @robertcochran427 4 года назад

      Joyce, I believe you owe the Rogers family, and especially Roy Jr. an apology ! Roy didn’t sell the items because he wanted to, it was a family decision because not enough was coming in to pay the bills to keep the museum open... Frankly it should have been California that saved the museum, ...Roy Rogers and others like him, (GeneAutry, John Wayne, etc.) who made California the motion picture Capitol of the world ! The state of California should have stepped in if anyone should have, but they’re too busy creating a communist utopia today to care about “American heros” ... give it a rest !

    Roy I have to tell you one time I went to a singles dance dressed as a cowgirl. I had a red shirt and denim jeans and a red cowboy hat with a silver maple leaf and three flashing red lights on it. as soon as I walked in somebody said theres Dale Evans. I got so much out of that. I live in Ontario Canada and I always loved Roy and Dale and Trigger and Buttermilk. They were and still are my heroes.
