Welcome to R Double Eight! I'm Adrian, a Moldavian bloke with a diploma in mechanics living in the UK trading cars as a side hustle.
I created this channel with the intent of posting content around the vehicles that I get and that are interesting to the community.
You can expect to see content revolving around diagnosis, mechanical work, body work, electrical work and general automotive reviews.
I mainly work on domestic (EU) cars and generally run of the mill vehicles with the occasional M, RS and AMG car.

How did you remove the bolt that had no room to come out?
Any have any advice for stripped screws? My plastic screws up top are stripped so bad and I can’t get anything to grip. I have no clearance for decent size tools in between the dash and steering column
Is the plate illegal because of it doesn't say GB at the side or is it doesn't say where the plate came from?
don’t have to say gb only when you go abroad or a sticker, a legal number plate will have the postcode of where the plate was made originally

Did your car whistle? Before you change that hose?
Mine dont but as soon a put foot on accelerator theres a power loss then picks up im thinking my issue is that too
My do, it like whispers did you fix that problem mate?
mine whistles at 1500 to 2000 rpm. I changed the hose that goes to the cooler on the exhaust side but still makes the same noice. could it be the seal before the turbo or the turbo itself? by my knowledge if the turbo was bad it should make more like a grinding noice rather than whiste.
I have the same whistle at around 1500 to 2000 rpm, have to locate the problem:) but engine is running good, 520D 2006 mod, 281000 km
To all of You, try first, before spending some serious money on it (like me), the m47/m57 are known for developing exhaust leaks at the manifold, the first cylinder the top nut goes loose, and it whistles 1:1 like a turbo whistle, but it's only a small exhaust leak, 19nm is the right torque :)
You can test the EGR valve , for closing and opening via VCDS.

Interesting I have a 07 plate Audi A4 Sline 170bhp 2.0 tdi Feels bogged down whilst driving can’t do anything from 30-45mph because the Glow plug light flashes and EML also comes on? On code reader got a fault P0299 turbocharger/ supercharger underboost????

Its not normal to have oil on the intercooler pipes,inside is ok, outside = boost leak . Change the down pipe that goes into intercooler or just change the seal
It aint a BMW if it doesnt leak oil m8 😂
