      Okay. Well I've never thought about using one controller for multiple lines of track, but if I were to do it, then I would find a way to solder all of the wires to the same plug. Or, I guess you could solder the wires to the underside of the rails if you want to use less wire and have it look cleaner.

    Hi, I’m just curious to know, do you need 2 power packs just to run both sides or 1 power pack will do?

    • @HyrumsModelTrains
      @HyrumsModelTrains 2 месяца назад

      You need 2 power packs/speed controllers to run on both sides (at least for DC).

      @@HyrumsModelTrains thank you so much! I was clueless at the point if it only required 1 power pack. However could you explain to me what dc is?

    • @HyrumsModelTrains
      @HyrumsModelTrains Месяц назад

      Actually, you can have one power pack for both tracks, but you still need 2 separate speed controllers to control the trains separately, but you can connect them both to the same power. Also, to answer your second question, just look up a video explaining the difference between DC and DCC.

    Very nice bit of diagnostic work - well done sir, keep up the good work 👍. I've found Kato steam locomotives to be a little twitchy myself as opposed to diesel and electric locomotives and multiple units which are sweet. The smoothest slow running steam locomotive I have is a Bachman Spectrum 'Consolidation' class which runs reliably at ridiculously slow speeds.
