I have 3 Kato crossover now and glad I made the switch from Bachmann track. I have only 1 power pack controlling 4 trains and soon install low voltage switches to power down each line to allow trains to stop and allow others to pass before crossovers
You should look into buy on of the kato Amtrak set because you can get another loop of track and a extra power supply so you can to trains on you double track
I would probably do that, but I already found some used speed controllers for a really good price and they're on the way to me now. Also, I'm planning to just keep it to three lines of track, so I might not get anymore starter sets. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Well, I have had my eye on that set for a while and I might get it because I want the train.
@@HyrumsModelTrains yeah you can get the train for a great deal In the set because if you get the train and the cars separately it would be almost the same price as the set
Yes, that would help. Actually, the steamer that I'm using does have tender pickups as well as loco pickups, but I don't know if the loco pickups work so well
@@HyrumsModelTrains like a regular blue controller that has the plug with the clear white plastic around it, sorry for not being specific I don’t know the proper name
I get that, but are you talking about wires going to multiple tracks to control the trains, or are you talking about the wires used to control the electrical double crossover piece?
Okay. Well I've never thought about using one controller for multiple lines of track, but if I were to do it, then I would find a way to solder all of the wires to the same plug. Or, I guess you could solder the wires to the underside of the rails if you want to use less wire and have it look cleaner.

This is one cool track. I installed one years ago and was highly impressed.

You have to hook up feeder wire at each four points
Love it and i am working on getting some kato track
Use a steamer that has tender pickup would also help!?

Oh, yeah! I forgot that
How would I connect this without needing another controller, would you have to cut the wire and sander it to another with a plug?
Could you be more specific? I'm not sure if whether you're talking about the train control or about the switch control.

Like hot butter through knife? 😮😅
Yep
