Beautiful! It's huge! It's like a blarge.
Really sounding good, well done. Might be worth putting these in the hands of a player and videoing them, would really doing them justice…. Good luck
Ah, part 2 video answers my question in the comments from part 1....🙂👍
Great, thanks for sharing. Is there ever an issue with squeeze out glue on the underside of f the soundboard sticking the soundboard to the flat surface below?
He mentioned it briefly, but that’s why he’s using that melamine door, it has a clear coat finish on it, and without doing any scuffing to that surface, the glue tends to not want to stick to it very easily
Love the veneer on the back of the headstock. That stuck out to me right away.
Do you know a site that connects between Arab countries? I want to buy it
Fantastic project. - and boy they sound good.
Wow, that first one looks excellent! Nice to know the history of the materials as well. Great job on both 🍻
Would love to see the start to finish build process for one of your beautiful bouzoukis
I would also love to see the whole making process, I appreciate that's a lot of video work ..
Just very good!! Keep the good work. 👏🇮🇪
Well done JoE!!!!
Your an inspiration..!!!! Wonderful..!!!
Those are really nice looking. I'm going to build one for my friends son who is 6 and recently learned that he loves to river dance. I came across your video while looking into how they are constructed. Thanks for the video.
Wonderful
Nice one Joe - looking forward to seeing it.
Beautiful.
Аmazing!
It has the shape of a bandolon.
is that one for sale ?
Not this one as I'm going to keep it myself. But I will be making another soon or you can order one from me. If you message my at Facebook page, Joefrond Custom Guitars and Irish Bouzoukis
Great job, ever try ladder bracing? I have a bookmatched Elm I want to use for a new project. Make a copy of an Egmond parlour size with ladder bracing and floating bridge. Lovely work there my friend 👍❤️
I've used V bracing on some. Not ladder. Also on guitar-bouzouki I use my own hybrid bracing of X brace that over sails fan braces. Thank you for your comment.
Beautiful contrasting wood colors.
Superb look!
Saludos y felicitaciones por ese hermoso instrumento, podrías por favor publicar las medidas de todo el bouzouki, gracias maestro.
The bouzouki has a scale length of 650mm. Nut width is 32mm and width at body joint is 42mm. Bout width is 355mm. Body depth is 85mm at tail and 70mm at neck heel.
Great job Joe love the mahogany body.I think this is your best one yet.😁
This is quite beautiful. Thank you for sharing this. Wonderful work.
What a beautiful instrument. Good on ya, matey.
If you know what a Hurdy Gurdy is, do you think that you would ever consider making one?
Wow, that would be complex. Probably out of my skill set.
Interesting instrument, how are you achieving such volume ?
Lovely work! And lovely tone.
Beautiful instrument
Gorgeous looking and bright sounding.
I would happily play either or both. If looks makes the job then you get a A+ If sound makes the job then your grade is A I've never seen a pitched pine top, very interesting looking Well done!
Do you sell these? I've been looking everywhere to find a traditional irish bouzouki
Yes there both great sounding, one with the loudest voice would be for lead playing the other would be a singers delight, Thanks for sharing them with us, I built the music makers kit, but there not deep enough about 3 inches.
the pine and maple sounds better to me , and louder even though a smaller body. very nice instruments
Hi, came here from the adverts ad! Not a bouzouki player (yet) so not going to be the one purchasing, but wanted to say it looks a lovely instrument!
Sounds great and it’s not even opened up yet! Elm sounds like it has huge potential. Almost like a mix of rosewood and mahogany
