You can recharge the Boveda packs (2-way). Just put them in something with a higher humidity than the pack has. No need to keep buying new ones.

I accidentally did my initial wipe down with tap water. What should I do to make sure I don’t get mold issues?

I bought a jar today and now I checked the humidity and saw that it was overly humid, although I removed the humidifier, it does not fall, when I lay it on its side, it decreased a little in humidity, the room temperature does not exceed 19 20, is there a solution to this, or I really have to spend money and buy a nice Humidormu.

If I put ceadar wood in the jar could I age my cigars in it

Baking soda and water works. Ignore the fools who says it leaves marks!! It does not and even if it does just get a damp distilled water clean cloth and wipe it down again

My wife and I absolutely looooved the Rabbit Hole Distillery tour and tasting in NuLu on our weeklong Bourbon Trail adventure this past spring! Had to venture back there on our last day in Louisville due to my craving of the Heigold, which stood out to me at our tasting. Been savoring it ever since. Great review, guys! Its good. I have one with a built in humidity meter, the best part of these humidors is that you have complete control over the humidity levels, no worries about leakage.

That was my first humidor. They work great and are great for traveling. Now crack open that Springbank 10.

I just received mine yesterday, I also own a Needone 300 capacity and love it, no issues at all, but I have been looking at the Newair 840 for a while. I really like lighting and self-humidification, even though I will be using Boveda packs just to be safe. I am a little concerned about reviews saying they have issues with maintaining the humidity and temp levels. Also, I have heard people complaining about the dividers being glued in, mine did not come with any dividers. Also, HEADS UP, I contacted Newair's customer service to see if I could order an extra drawer for the unit. Thye do swell shelving and drawers but, the guy told me if I modify the unit in any way, including taking shelves out and replacing them with a drawer, even though I purchased the drawer from Newair, this will void the warranty.

Ive done this comparison several times, and had different results. It depends on the quality of the individual bottles. Both are good! Drink both!

my CC-100 is now after 4 years stuck on cooling to the lowest temp possible. Currently looking something new, but not sure im going to drop 1500 on a unit that will in 4 years decide that being set at 68 degrees means to stay at 59.

Glen Garioch is a more obscure opportunity, if it is carried in your outlets. I note that you went with all single malts. Blends can run significantly less expensive. I think your choices are all good. I have been down the Highland Park, Glenmorangie, Talisker, and Auchentoshan road myself. I did Glenfiddich, rather than Glenlivet, but they are very similar. The only label I have not stocked is the Tomatin.

As others has said, i can confirm DO NOT use the bakingsoda/water mixture to clean it. After drying up and whiping it with a new sponge it will have the markings again. Even after a 3rd new sponge and new wtaer it still leaves the dried up baking soda lol. Now u just have to hope the unit will work because seller will DENY return when it looks like that. U can clean it with just the water, then after drying leave baking soda in it to absorb smell or a newspaper

i believe its a Habano Ecuador ligero leaf not a maduro leaf. but beautiful cigar overall! great review guys

Jameson was my first Irish whisky and I've always hated it, but i recently got a bottle of the Proper 12 and its really quite different and much much better.

I HATE the taste of alcohol. I dont care what you liars say it all tastes like rubbing alcohol smells....ALL of it PERIOD. However! Proper 12 does have an actual flavor to it, and it is quite pleasing.

My problem is keeping a 65 or above temp in mine... humidity is good but temps can get down to 55

I liked Proper 12. At $20 a very drinkable everyday whiskey.

The one I just got off Amazon came with a lid mounted hygrometer, bag of cedar curls, two cedar sheets around the inside of the jar and a similar piece at the bottom. Also came w spare battery and gel stick humidifier that went in the trash.

Hey so I’m new into collecting cigars. I will normally buy 3-5 cigars. Would it be better to put them in a jar or ziplock bag and use the boveda 69% ?

“Please excuse the women” 😂🤣😂🤣 I recently found this $60 bottle for $30 and grabbed a bottle in absolute surprise. I’d not even heard of it before I bought it and wow was i pleasantly surprised!!! Very fruity, dried fruit, mild, not overwhelming, and very smooth!

Proper 12’s ethanol flavor really ruins it for me, especially since it hits at the front end and the back. There really isn’t much to it flavor wise, when comparing to Jameson though, it’s tough, neither are good. But if I had to choose one I would go with the Jameson. If proper 12 could lose the ethanol flavor, they would easily edge out Jameson! I wish they would take a note from the numerous similar criticisms and change.

no matter what I do, the humidor will smell of plastic and ruin my cigars after some weeks of resting. I assume it has something to do with the cooling system and not the plastic walls as I had this issue only happen in the summer when I have it running. In the winter is always off.

I have a 250 Air 2022 version, I seasoned it with the wipe down method and put my distilled water in and the humidity is up to 99%, I let it sit for 3days and it's still running high, what should I do?

I'm sick of Jamo, too harsh for me now as I get older. Proper I can shoot and enjoy the flavors. My brother in law made me a lemonade and Prop 12 and is was delicious, scary cause you can't taste any alcohol in it.

You guys absolutely nailed it! Tomatin continues to be one of my faves, and the 12 and Legacy are both incredible malts for the money.

The Glenlivet, Glenlivet double oak. Glenmorangie and Craigllachie 13. I saw the Nectar D'or for $47 at the supermarket but that was a once in lifetime offer.

Do not store your cigars standing up like that or they will crack after a few months. Lay the jar on the side so the cigars do not stand on their "foot".
