Whitby is a fantastic place, especially for van lifers - we stayed in the carpark by the abbey for a couple of nights along with several other vans. I think the council turn a blind eye to it as long as you buy a day ticket

I never understand littering. It really winds me up. People go to these places because of how pretty they are then ruin it out of sheer laziness! Some people even litter in their own town which is bonkers! It’s like taking a dump in your own living room

Memories of six months ago! I did ours, I could scrape some of the battons out with my fingers, they had turned to mush. Aside from my time, it cost me just under £100 at B&Q to rectify. What you could do, is remove any wet battons etc and see what drys out. The panels on ours dried out as they were only getting wet because of the battons being saturated so when I replaced all that and sealed it all up, I just redecorated it. The cause of the leak appeared to be what I had assumed were little dents all over the overcab from 30 years of branches catching it turned out to be hundreds of little pin holes so rain must have been seeping in for years.
