    Hi Brendan. What are you doing to improve your countermovement jump? I have the same problem as you. My jump from a paused position even with added weight is almost as good as my cmj.

    • @brendang12
      @brendang12 5 дней назад

      Hey man! Honestly practicing CMJ a lot more helps! So does doing depth/drop jumps!

  • @Atari69
    @Atari69 23 дня назад

    What have you found to be more effective, power cleans, hex bar jumps, or clean pull for vertical gains? I am relatively new to lifting ~6 month experience of squatting/deadlifting, and want to start to train power exercises. The problem is that power cleans require some technique. For beginners, which exercise do you think is best?

    • @brendang12
      @brendang12 21 день назад

      Honestly they’re all pretty good for slightly different reasons! For a beginner tho you’ll get quicker results doing hexbar jumps as they’re easy to learn, but I’d still recommend learning powercleans. You’d want to get a coach for those tho!

      @@brendang12 I think it's about leading with the knee with ur left leg. I think he's suggesting you're kinda reaching too much forward with your left leg, and you want to have your knee more closer to the level of your shin... I think Isaiah has covered this topic on one of his recent tutorials on how to increase vert for two legs mechanics. This is also something I struggle with since I don't have a really long penultimate step and my form kinda crumble when I try to step further...
