Welcome to my channel, The World and Alex.
My name is Alex, and in December of 2023, I quit my job, sold my apartment and all my belongings to pursuit a lifelong dream of traveling full time.
The idea of traveling solo, as a middle-aged man, is both exciting and daunting, so I decided to bring my camera, and document my experiences. Not only to share my journey but also in the hopes of showing how amazing and wonderful traveling and the world truly is. 🌍
My goal is to visit the traditional sights as well as the lesser-known places - on a budget - and do some volunteer work with animals whenever possible.

Experience Ha Long Bay without the Crowds and 1/10 of the Price 🇻🇳
I wanted to see the famous Ha Long Bay but when reading online that the place is overcrowded with the many overnight cruises, I decided to go to the island of Cat Ba.
Here I could book a day trip that goes to both Lan Ha Bay AND Ha Long Bay for only $31 - much cheaper than some of the overnight cruises that I had initially looked at from Ha Long.
Whether you are on a budget or not, this is definitely a fantastic way to experience the magnificent and stunning scenery.
