Why do you run City of Brass compared to other lands that do the same without the loss of life?

brewing this deck right now. i like how there's incredibly silly things you can do with it. Precursor golem can be a massive life gain, ramp or draw engine if you run common removal spells like swords to plowshares, path to exile or oblation. Sawhorn nemesis can octuple the damage to a player! Swooping pteranodon yeets an entire board! Cards like Regal Caracal and Regal Sliver create their own tribal support! My deck's not even finished yet and I love this commander already.

So basically, if morophon is not around and you dont have a nexus in play, this whole deck falls apart?

Am I missing some I think I counted 97 total cards

For commander I also recommend Mana Geyser. I often get at least 15 (net 10) mana out of it.

I also recommend the brass bore tunneller or something like that, turns into a powerful discover land.

I run There and Back again with some copy cards in my prosper deck. Easy way to get lots of treasures for into an x spell like torment. If people remove it, I can still copy something like mirkwood bats or nalfeshnee.

Just make sure you have a way to removal counters from skullbriar if you cast him turn two and someone puts a -1-1 counter on him he’s pretty unable to be casted unless you have an anthem effect 😂

I love full art foil basic lands i love my edgar markov deck.

Very similar to my Markov deck. Look like you opted for more offensive tactics where I opted for more aristocratic/life drain tactics (Purphoros, Warleader's Call, Teysa, couple more sacrifice outlets, etc). Not as many special editions/foils though so mine runs about $1k. If you haven't already, Cover of Darkness would be a phenomenal addition.

Why does it keep scanning the front and back

6:16 "When you are creating copies of this card, and all of those copies are attacking, they each tap down creatures" No, no they do not. The copies are put into play already attacking, they do not trigger their own 'whenever this creature attacks' trigger. See similar rulings for Kaalia of the Vast putting Aurelia into play, and similar.

Great deck profile seems fun to play but for hammers of morradin the myriad tokens don’t get their attack triggers.

This is a cool way to build it, I'd definitely put a copy of Dragon's Hoard in though, ramp in the early game and mid - late it's a free card every turn. I opted for a ton of blink in the deck, dodge targeted removal and get more dragons for the trouble ☺️ also Utvara Hellkite with Terror of the Peaks is so broken it's not even funny lol Roaming Thone is also a great edition. If Miirym is out when it's played not only is it going to increase the number of times Miirym's copy ability triggers from 1 to 4, it's also going to increase Miirym's ward to 8 as ward is a triggered ability that gets added to the stack in response to Miirym getting targeted. So 4 ward 2 triggers hit the stack if Miirym is targeted.

I absolutely love this deck! I copied it. OMG EVERYBODY HATES ME. The deck is scary powerful and Edgar seriously makes a literal army. It is awesome. I took out 1 card I believe it is the 1 card that will scry when you sacrifice a creature for a newer card from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander and that is Charismatic Conqueror.

Some recent low budget options! Hideous Taskmaster is like 6 bucks and outrageously strong in this list. Exocrine is also an excellent swap in, wipes the board, draws a card, AND does direct damage to opponents to discount a massive eldrazi follow-up. Fell the profane, 3 bucks, replaces a swam to add some more removal (which is tough to put into LOR otherwise). Some of the new Eldrazi titans are also relatively affordable - Ulamog and Kozilek. First is easily a 15+ annihilator stompy with crazy ward and the second will draw you cards for days. Both I think 30 bucks at the moment. One card that absolutely should be in here is protection racket. Add it in with the assumption that players will exile (not that you will draw), and sure enough, it will do tons of damage. Chances are at least one opponent will exile a non-land and take damage to enable Rakdos. If they actually give you some cards, it will usually be the big boys that you'd want anyway. Win win. Good time to be a Rakdos LOR player :)
