Did you make measurements with REW for example to see what frequency response you had at the listening point ? I am talking about putting both loudspeakers in the same location and in height. Written with translator Greetings
@@htnorthman6234 If you do not have measurements of the speakers in your room, it is impossible. compare a product objectively. Hey, I already own a 1961 1V subwoofer with Q Acoustics 3020i/3090Ci/3010i speakers on the base level and Dali Alteco hooked up to a NAD T758 V3i in a 5.1.2 Top Middle configuration. I'm on the fence about either buying an external 6-channel amp and another set of Altecos to go for a 5.1.4 configuration and stressing my receiver a bit less, or swapping out my center channel for the Arendal 1961 Center (It sometimes feels like the QA center might be a bit too small for my room (3.2m listening distance)). I could get a good deal on the amp and Altecos, so that option would only be slightly more expensive than selling my current center and going for the Arendal. My concerns are mismatch in the front stage (I have Dirac Live on my receiver though, so that might compensate it adequately) and high load on my receiver (1961 center rated at 4 Ohm). Which upgrade path would make more sense in your opinion?
Hi. Amp is always a good route. Keeping speakers the same is the best for even sound stage. Arendal does the 60 day buy and try. Im actually goin to get the 1723s center just for more range. The center channel actually does a lot of work the more I learn about our hobby. Im also getting a Outlaw 7000x amp. I want my receiver to run cooler! Lol. Go with what feels right to you. Hi The 1961 monitors. They would work good for that. I know the Tri-axial sounds have a switch to turn side speakers on and off also.
