    Hey RJ. Thank you for doing this video. Could you provide more info on the products you mentioned to aid in quality sleep? Woof? Something about chilly blanket, and something that vibrates to wake you up. I am a long time cpap user and would love to get off it. Thank you.

    • @FindYourFlow
      @FindYourFlow День назад

      Hey, yea for sure. The Whoop band is what I was using to track sleep quality and it has the blood oxygen sensors to show if that was dipping too low. That was most important to suggest if I needed to keep using the cpap. Whoop also had a vibrating alarm setting for wake up time so that was the same thing there. A lot of different sleep trackers now also have the blood oxygen sensors. And the Chiliblanket from chilisleep now called sleep.me I think. I believe they still make the blanket but there are also lots of cooling sleep pads like the Eight sleep one. I found that the colder temperatures helped me get deeper quality sleep to compensate for some of the sleep apnea deficits. I sleep great because of it but it’s not specifically addressing sleep apnea.

      Hey, yes! I actually hadn't used the Kobo app in a while so I just tested it out. It's actually really awesome. You can annotate as if you were writing on paper and those handwritten notes show up in your annotations the same way that selecting the text to highlight will.

      @@FindYourFlow it's strange that the price is still so high(er) then before, even if it's a device from 2021. Looking at maybe a foldable phone which can fill in the function as a reading tablet/note taking device/phone such as the fold 5

    • @FindYourFlow
      @FindYourFlow 9 дней назад

      Yea apple is strange like that and if they don't have another product that's newer that directly replaces something the price will remain high. That's why I found the mini I got refurbished on ebay for a pretty good price compared to new. I can't see myself needing to upgrade it for quite a few years even if they release a new mini. It's pretty well perfect. Face ID would be nice but the Touch ID in the power button is just as fast and easy to use.

      The figures will be kept intact as images so you'll be able to zoom in and view them! The formatting for scientific journals can work out pretty well sometimes. Most journal articles are two columns on the page and this can sometimes get jumbled in the process.

    I wish I bought an iPad mini instead of Kindle PW, everyone said Kindle is better, but not for me. I read at home only, prefer to read on phone screens (physical books are kinda distracting for me with its texture), and don't need a strong battery. It's slow, I have to pick up my phone to search for unknown words, as it's faster. And I have to send ePubs through Calibre to avoid hyphenation, why is there still no option for this... don't take it as a vent or something, just sharing for those who plan to buy a Kindle or iPad and not yet sure. Listen to yourself when choosing

    Hi RJ! I love this video, this is what I’d like to do too when my current device either gets too old or if it dies. . I only read at bedtime and I’ve been doing something similar for years on the kindle fire 6 inch which was discontinued a few years ago. I love how small it is. I only use this for reading my kindle books and keep the Wi-Fi turned off except for when I charge it which is every 5 to 6 days since the Wi-Fi is turned off. But I’m a total Apple nerd and when I replace the fire6 this is what I’ll do, go for an iPad mini so I can use all of my reading apps, kindle, kobo, google books and a few others. I use the blue shade on my kindle and I’ve noticed I fall asleep faster since I started using that setting. My iPad mini will be set up sort of like yours, but even simpler. I love your channel! Thanks!

    I personally use an iPad as my primary reading device. I would love to use a paperwhite, but sadly they are proprietary and they lock you into Amazon only, or B&N only, etc. This is a showstopper for me since I have books across multiple distributors. The iPad has better versatility as well. Reading in the sun is probably the biggest detractor for me when it comes to the iPad.

I get ebooks and articles from all manner of places and put them on my Kindle, and then I have it with me when I want to read it. My Kindle fits in my jacket pocket, so I often have only that (and my phone). I hardly ever read on the iPad mini, since eink is vastly less stressful for the eyes than an LCD.

      Exactly. Is there any kindle like product which reads PDFs and other formats too?

      @@AbhTri-kq8hcprobably something like a Boox device. Note Air3 or similar. It's an Android device that has an e-ink screen. Good for note taking and PDF reading /annotation.

    idk, I prefer reading on my ipad, mainly because i don't like being stuck on one platform for books. I have ebooks from many apps, from apple books, google books, and nook. I know there are e-readers out there that are android base, which will allow me to access these apps for my ebooks, however I know i just wouldn't use it cause I would say I am more like a creative. I draw, I make amv's, I read and I even write. Not professionally, just as a hobby, but because of that, iPads are just a better option for someone like me.

    I wish the mini had an OLED screen like the iPhone. It makes the black fonts sharp and easier to read. It is otherwise too blurry in my opinion.

    I originally got the mini predominantly for reading but ended up selling it. It was so heavy compared to a kindle and didn’t use it enough for the price ahaha

    The worst thing about iPad is that it has an LCD screen instead of an amoled screen which would've made a lot more sense for people to take notes on and read out of but apple being apple they made the most horrible decision in the mankind. I own a iPad Pro 11 inch and I fucking hate it when I read for more than 10 min and get headaches

    What type of meditation do you do? I’m new and don’t know exactly how to start. Thanks!

      I've learned and practiced mindfulness meditation the most! That's what the Muse headband also supports by signalling when your brain activity picks up. So I will typically focus on letting thoughts pass by to clear my mind and sometimes if I'm struggling with that I'll turn my attention to the rising and falling of my breath to stay in that state. I've tried and practiced a bunch of different methods but that's my preferred way! I'll continue to share more about it :)
