Best bow making video I have seen! I am also a filmmaker - here is one that I did about a violin maker in Santa Rosa, California. It was accepted in several film festivals. ruclips.net/video/8YuwfUSZqYc/видео.html&feature=sharec

Parce que je ne sais pas comment perle beaucoup de français mais je sais un peu y estoy intentando practicar para cuando vaya aya. Cuando regrese de donde vine. De los idiomas románticos. When I return to Rome. For all roads lead back to Rome.

Fine… if you want to play with full hair all the time.

I thought the idea of a traditional bow is that while you tilt the bow you can play it with minimal hair to achieve a piano / quiet voice. And when playing forte, you apply pressure with the bow being tilt, the hair in contact is actually wider, more than the width of the bow hair. Similar to the idea of a triangle, the diagonal side is always longer than the horizontal side.

This frog completely eliminates what we actually seek to do with our bow - decide how much hair we need for playing. Also I cant imagine beginner with this bow -they are prone to tilt the bow in the opposite direction

1:24 "You see that... only a portion of the hair.." .... *yes* we know. That's what we want! A gentle/precise approach to the note then we can turn our wrist out or adjust our fingers slightly when we want all the hair to come into contact with the string!

My birthday present was an angled neck instead of an angled bow frog. Its historic like your bow

Brown and white striping = Passione by Pirastro. The amount of bow hair though doesn't sound great on gut strings in my opinion.... it's choking the sound a bit

Miriam you have had killed the soundbox of the instrument! Never push and keep contact with you're shoulder on the back of the instrument! I

Definitely a bigger and cleaner sound with the Rolland.

Hmmm I thought using less hair at the frog is to compensate for the more weight the bow got at the frog

Just to inform that the quantity of the hair in contact with the string depends just of the choice of the player. Quality bow has no matter. Apart of the las comment, The violinist does a great demonstration bravo!
