    wait, what? they get pulled from the bed at 3 a.m. and... then have to drive somewhere at 5 a.m.?! did Noel simply misspoke about the 3 a.m.? even 5 a.m. is nuts. I imagine for the traitors it's even less rest time. that's torture.

    • @thetraidarpodcast
      @thetraidarpodcast 16 часов назад

      @audriusdarguzis Yip! I think it's a combo of trying to film as much as possible in as short a time as possible, and trying to put the players under a fair bit of strain to produce the most dramatic play.

  • @audriusdarguzis
    @audriusdarguzis 18 часов назад

    I wish there would be more talk about the daily routines of the players, like the hotel room environment that Mark mentioned. are there more upcoming interviews and if so - where can I ask such questions?

      @thetraidarpodcast 16 часов назад

      @audriusdarguzis Hey! There probably won't be anymore NZ Interviews (now preparing for Traitors Canada season 2!). There are quite a few restrictions from the TV production company about the questions I can ask the players, unfortunately. So any behind-the-scenes questions that aren't just about gameplay are kind of off the table!

  • @MichaelSCollins
    @MichaelSCollins 5 дней назад

    Totally did a double take near the end there. Yep, still hoping Noel wins... somehow, but I liked how he kept surviving roundtables against the odds! Good interview! And several of my favourites have been recommissioned. This is all because I laughed that one time David said he'd watched over 100 Survivor series!

    Camille is speaking about how much easier it would’ve been to have celebrities because you know their personalities is irrelevant in her case. She constantly spoke about her career as a Federal Agent, that this game should have been easier for her. She was employed studying human behavior, she understood prey vs predator. She doesn’t know human behavior as well as she portrayed.

    • @thetraidarpodcast
      @thetraidarpodcast 5 дней назад

      I think, even if you're an expert in human behaviour, all bets are off when it comes to a show/game like this. They're all in a completely constructed environment playing a giant game with various external factors influencing them to behave differently than they usually would. Even for someone like Camille, I'm guessing you just can't read people the way you might observe them in ordinary life.

    Sam, the traitor, SWORE TO GOD, he is no traitor. People learn to lie on this show. Is the world not dishonest enough already? How devious and godless do players of this show become? They are playing this murderous money-oriented game also in church. Didn't Jesus throw money-oriented people out of the temple? The moderator is holding the cross in his hands to motivate people in this lying game. Some might say, well it is just a game. Even in a game, you don't swear to God that you don't lie if you do lie. You don't wrestle for money in a religious building. The worlds knows no morals and then they are surprised if God walks away by having enough of them.

    • @thetraidarpodcast
      @thetraidarpodcast 5 дней назад

      If the players and crew aren't religious, I don't thnk it means to them what it does to you. I think Jesus probably also has bigger things to worry about than an Australian TV game show.

    • @Finnleigh.Jackson4141
      @Finnleigh.Jackson4141 5 дней назад

      @@thetraidarpodcast, I am not a Christian but I am appalled by the lack of morals. I love interesting shows but this show is extreme. People are asked to throw ethical conduct out of the window and train themselves to lie and deceive. What if some players learned to deceive on the show and continue so after the game? Places or worship are used by these people for financial gains. How come that people with low morals never entertain the thought that God has enough of them? Maybe all are already forsaken as he doesn't make any public appearance anymore.

    • @thetraidarpodcast
      @thetraidarpodcast 4 дня назад

      @@Finnleigh.Jackson4141 I'm not sure God has ever made a public appearance. Anyway, it seems futile to discuss this any further. It's a game. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

    • @Finnleigh.Jackson4141
      @Finnleigh.Jackson4141 4 дня назад

      @@thetraidarpodcastSuch "games" make the world worse. People are trained to lie and cheat. Religious institutions and objects are being used for financial gain. In short, the world is sinking deeper and deeper. This show clearly shows that the world is on a steep decline as far as ethics and morals are concerned. Game shows can be exciting without perverting people. And this show perverts people and is ungodly. If we don't speak out, the world will get worse than it already is. The host of UK Traitor seemed to have some moral concerns, but was talked into another season. If they would at least come up with a show that would correct the deceiving people from becoming righteous again. But they are not, are they?

    I liked Marks move primarily because I never saw it coming. At the very start he said he was more interested in the game theory than the money hence his grinning at roundtables and strategizing at wrong times (and as a fan of the show he was self aware that people like him don't win). I suspect he saw the blackmail coming and so decided the more fun exit was in posthumously getting rid of a Traitor. Not the move I'd have made but fun to see other people try it as it's not my money. Tldr: despite being strategy minded, Michael has a soft spot for traitors oddball plays, being a nutter himself! 😂

Quiet off radar players? We actually get confessionals to hear their strategy so we know one of them, for example, is trying to befriend the Traitor they've uncovered, or another is keeping cards close to their chest. Comparing it to poor Sandra, who wasn't dramatic enough for US2 so all of her gameplay seemingly got left on the cutting room floor.

    I’m surprised that throwing fellow traitors under the bus this soon has become a go-to tactic for the traitors: there’s no obvious merit in that at all, except a bullshit hope (myth) that going for a traitor “proves” you’re not one. it rarely works and if anyone can pull that off it’s someone as audacious as Sam. Mike absolutely didn’t need to get rid of Whitney, but did and in doing so looked more like Dan than Sam. Mike was totally unprepared to how his body would react to Whitney’s banishment - he looked devastated and guilty right away, it’s amazing how no one picked that. also, his whole demeanour changed from meek to mean and now he looks like a total psycho bully, ready to attack anyone at any time with his scripted robotic digs. it just keeps fascinating me what Traitors can do to a person’s psyche and behaviour. also, it’s enchanting how players like Cat or Donna don’t even begin to realise that the majority of people watching the show will be rooting for Mark and considering them, not Mark, as absolutely obnoxious. again, this show can do that to you…

    I’ve watched UK 1&2, Australia 1&2 and US 1&2, finally got around to watching New Zealand season 1. I really enjoyed it, especially as the faithfuls were on it from the beginning. What I’m not quite clear of is if they figured out the numbers themselves or if production had a hand. From my impression it seemed like they knew the rules and figured it out themselves, counting the number of chairs etc to deduce what had happened the night before. It rests on assuming there are 3 traitors at the beginning and being correct about it

  • @audriusdarguzis
    @audriusdarguzis Месяц назад

    also, Andrew is a prime example that the “guardian angel” strategy is a bad one: Australia’s Annabel and Luke and US Peter have tried and failed - as soon as you start double-playing the game you inevitably expose yourself as someone cunning and suspicious - partly it’s because your safeguard is off because you think “well, I’m not a traitor so I have nothing to worry about”, you stop worrying you might get caught and end up looking like an extreme version of a traitor. sorry for triple-posting!

    I knew Camille would scupper Sam. 👏Did they ever find out what she used to do for a living?🤣

    Even though it's a game, I like this particular flavour of saltiness, it adds drama to the reunion. If the other players said they had clocked Phaedra before Dan's parting gift, I would have said fair enough,. All the players said they didn't suspect Phaedra until this point. I would have preferred to see the faithfuls work it out for themselves. if Dan was 10 steps ahead, he would have realised going for Phaedra wasn't going to work, survived at least 1 more day and had to think of a new strategy. Even Kate managed to get to the endgame somehow when it seemed as though her fate was set.

    When it comes to this mix of players, even with a normal cast such as the UK, you will have players who are absolutely clueless with no strategy. Australia is also a good example. I wouldn’t go too hard on the reality TV stars and their lack of gameplay. the 2 gamer traitors were out before Phaedra. If everyone knew how to play the game, the show wouldn’t work.

    I was hoping Trishelle wouldn’t make it to the end. She was a key figure in Peter’s Pals, it was her idea to go for Phaedra before Parvati. She was wrong and strong as well as being correct about the traitors. Would she have figured out Phaedra without Dan’s almost parting gift? I doubt it. I prefer seeing a faithful befriend a traitor only to reveal that they have them figured out, like Jaz almost pulled off if Molly had been switched on. Kate’s final murder was essentially picking the winner

    Blake, I felt so bad that you got nothing. Just finished watching in the states.

    I thought both the lads' reactions to the ending were insane. They thought they could railroad Camille, she didn't fall for it and they (deservedly) got nothing. Thought Blake's tears were absolutely pathetic - just smacks of childish entitlement.

    You really wanted very bad that money and ended up losing yourself in the game. At the end of the show, you had several opportunities to eliminate Sam. Before Liam was eliminated, he clearly identified the traitors, and Sarah was uncertain between Liam and Sam. Well played, because you played Sam.

      Liam clearly identified the traitors...?! You mean he coasted through the show having had his brain removed beforehand, and then got angry and pointed at a couple of people about 58 episodes too late?? Only Annabelle and Luke "clearly identified the traitors" - Liam was instrumental (with the other serial airheads Keith, Hannah, Sarah and Gloria) in messing it up!
