I have my brothers old mask, you will have to eventually change the padding out, the mask I have has its padding crumbling at the touch, and the bib is brownish yellow, but still holds up well from testing, and should clean well too.

I'd say your review is completely based on your fondness for the Leon Paul mask. Admittedly a great piece of equipment, but why not compare it to a Nigrini, or Uhlmann FIE mask. You're basically comparing a Corvette to Ford Focus. Lots of people get to work everyday in the Focus and it does what is advertised. I've got a whole cupboard full of masks, (no LP yet, but I might) and beyond the safety that all of them provide, you simply get what you pay for when it comes to design and features.

Kind of rediculous that you try to compare an FIE mask to a non FIE mask.

i put it on a Spyder Mr100 but when a shoot on automatic the Hammer get stuck and never moves could you please give a tip for put it

Plus, I have the feeling that the equipment is really cheap in the EU.... like the price for the D'artagna IV from Adidas. there are so cheap. I personnaly go to Germany because vat is way lower than Belgium for instace. Those shoes cost 68 euros!

In Europe we only sells FIE mask and we can't use 30N mask anyway. it's frobiden in genereal in our club. Is the US legislation so different than in the EU?

I agree on most points, However most company's can do full mask refurbishments for a percentage of the price of a new mask, the bar at the bottom of the X change can in some masks protrude and hit your jaw when struck, but it varies from mask to mask. Leon Paul definatley have the quality over other masks, but are more expensive, however its worth it as you can see

DISCLAIMER: i just did this modification to my spyder mr1 and it now shoots to fast to keep up with a standard hopper. dont do this mod unless you have an electric hopper that can keep up with the action
