In-cab Switches for WARN Zeon Platinum
Here is how you can wire your WARN Zeon Platinum so you can have in-cab switches to control your winch. And your wireless controller will still work. Try this at your own risk. As far as I can tell this is not supported by WARN and may void your warranty.

Northwest Jeepcast windshield decal replacement
I mean props but the welds look rough but so do mine lol love it
Was that a dana 44 RCV that broke? I spoke with a representative from RCV. And he said that they have never had a warranty from a Jeep that broke, only buggies. 😂😂
FYI -- there are Two solenoids in the clutch - both two activate clutch and then one to hold !!! one operates for only a few seconds - so be careful you could burn out solenoid! I used timers from ali express two switch first off after 5 seconds
I recently started listening to the podcast. Wanted to see the guys and their rigs. Awesome looking jeeps, but imagine the XJs they could have built with the same investment 😂
How did the testing work out? I’m buying one today for 650 like new pulled off a newer Jeep tempting to hard wire it to my auxbeam switch panel set up
this has worked spectacularly for me. I used my winch in critical time sensitive situations like King of the Hammers, and it worked every time. Perfect!
Love listening to the show.
guess what? we love you listening to the show too!! tell a friend, or two. well as many as you like!! :)
MAAAAAANNNNNN!!!!! Thank you!!!!! Any failures or downsides since the alteration/wiring in the hard switch?
No downsides. it has worked every time flawlessly. Even with urgency is critical like while racing a King of the Hammers, it worked great. Tell a friend.
@@TheJeepcast I'm finally getting to do this next week. For the sake of being sure, and yes at my own risk, you have a schematic (I'm using hard switches)?
Awesome! Love the Switch Pros setup. No need for additional relays.
Agreed!
I’ve got 2 questions. 1) do you have any ideas or pictures of how you ran your break lines/ABS sensors? I am all done with the lift and am now having clearance issues with break lines and sensors getting in the way of both the tires and coils compressing. 2) are you using limit straps? If so what length and where did you install them? TIA for the info
You guys should definitely visit Disney Oklahoma, and Clayton Oklahoma. Great wheeling
Carnage is not for the faint of heart.
Carnage looks so fun! I love the natural obstacles.
I’m going to watch, but it hurts so much. I should have been with you. Turns out I quit the boss anyway and the Jeep might have made it. Next time
Ya final episode. Just delete the DEF system
Hate these videos. Was supposed to wheel the Rockies with them last year. Jeep was broke. Boss was an ass…. Next time
How did they hold up ???
they held up great. got several years usage out of these. only proactively changed then as part of my KOH race prep. They were still quite stiff when I changed them.
Great episode guys! It was great meeting you. If you ever make it back let me know.
We really enjoyed meeting and wheeling with you too!
Had a blast with y’all at Uwharrie!! Great episode and videos!! Side note: Every time I’ve done Walden’s Ridge we went the opposite direction. Seems more sketchy the way you went lol. The “fins” at the beginning rips the bandaid off for sure!!
Thanks, you too! Yeah, there's not a lot that freaks me out, but Walden's Ridge did for sure.
that broken knuckle was nuts, seeing the tire splayed out.
yeah, and can you believe that we were gonna try to do a trail repair. It was going to take hours to go get a new knuckle, so we figured we would try to get the jeep in a better location. and we're glad we did!
You were running Crawling for Cops backwards... which is actually way more fun. It was good to spend some time with you guys at camp at AOAA.
thanks man, it was a blast hanging out with you too!
For a jeep enthusiast, this had to be an Awesome experience! Thanks for taking the time to record this. 👍🏼
it really was. I still lookback in disbelief that we got INTO the factory and interview with the current owner of the Bantam factory. Wow, just wow!
I've been listening to the Jeep cast on Amazon music every workday for over a year and a half. I haven't followed the cast for the weekly releases just several hours of episodes everyday. I never could put a face to the voices and after listening to the podcast this past week and hearing about the wheeling trip videos getting approved by Jeep I searched and found this. I've gotta say I pictured you guys being younger especially with the vehicle repairs and building in the garages. I really like the podcast and I'm going to binge these videos also. Thanks for everything you guys do
Thanks Robert! I'm not sure if you meant that as we act younger than we look, or that we look older than act. well, I guess we have to own that. thanks for listening, and tell a friend.
Because almost all of the audio was recorded through masks, some of the words were hard to make out. I just spent 2 days editing all the subtitles text and timings to make sure it was correct. Turn on CC if some if it is hard to understand. Thanks for watching.
Your work perfecting the captions is much appreciated, especially for those of us who have a little trouble hearing to begin with.
such an awesome opportunity and the permission to share it! Thanks for sharing the experience with us, Garys'!
Thanks for watching. I still look back to both the Jeep factory and Bantam property as just unbelievable we were there. So grateful.
FYI, YJ production started at a Brampton, Ontario facility before moving to Toledo in 1992
Neat fact.
I would like to go in there and punch the engineers in the face for the horrible engineering and poor reliability of Jeeps. My 2013 Wrangler JK is on its 3rd oil cooler, 2nd radiator, 2nd water pump, it needs two knock sensors replaced, I have replaced 3 O2 sensors, replaced a drive shaft joint, on its 2nd leak detection pump, replaced the throttle position sensor, and it is currently parked at home because the torque converter is starting to fail. And I actually baby the thing, rarely even taking it off-road and I drive only 4 miles to work. My wife's Toyota is 7 years older and I have only replaced the alternator and an O2 sensor on it. Jeep quality is HORRIBLE!!
Sorry you got a bad one, but certainly you gotta know your experience is not the norm.
@@TheJeepcast This is the first and only Jeep that I have ever owned so this has been my only experience with a Jeep. Seeing that I have had many of the same parts fail multiple times, it looks like the parts are either poorly manufactured or poorly designed. And I am using Mopar parts, not aftermarket parts. The oil cooler is known to fail on many Jeep. Toyota parts seem to never break. Jeep parts break over and over.
Interesting to see how the current plant is divided into North and South, and more importantly, JL and JT. From the outside I would have simply assumed it was all one line.
There must be a lot of similarities, that’s why they had both the master body in whites for JL and JT, but enough difference with the cab and bed on the JT to do it on a different line.
That was AWESOME!!! Been selling them for years and this is the first in depth look into the plant I've seen! Great job Gary's!!!! OIIIIIIIO
Thank you! Really appreciate your comment. We put a lot of work producing this.
I only saw myself once in the video. Still great time at Bantam this year with my 1947 Cj2a willys. Got to meet you both & have my 1st shot of Whiskey on my 21st birthday on Saturday with you two. & allowing me to sneak in Lightbars & brews to show off my 47 Willys parked next to Garys LS swapped JK.
heck ya! good to see ya buddy! 🤘
Patty Jo said you're not right... I love it
if she meant "not right in the head", then we agree. 😉😂
Love that you hit a Brewers game! Don't remember hearing that on the 'pod!
It doesn’t seem likely that I didn’t talk about a thing. 🤷♂️
Gary, I don’t know if I should be jealous or worried about your daughters alcohol shelf in that flag video from her condo.
the correct answer is impressed.
You guys missed an opportunity to visit Gary, Indiana. Gary and Gary visit Gary. G3. Bad dad joke? Absolutely. Hilarious to me? Definitely. Keep ‘em coming guys.
yeah, we got really close, but we had a deadline to meet.
You guys glad you installed extended fuel tank.
heck yeah, but we did get close to running out of fuel one time when there was a long gap between truck stops.
Good stuff.....see you at Bantam. Im the Local that talked to you briefly last June downtown Butler.
Hey buddy! thanks for the chat, it was real fun for sure. Stay tuned!!
Good summary & introduction. It'll be fun to have images to accompany your podcast descriptions.
yeah, we can't wait for you all to see the videos of the whole trip. 👊
Awesome!!!! Looking forward to the next episode.
looking forward to the rest of the series. I got to meet you on the streets of Butler at Bantam
next week for the Bantam episode. It has such great memories in it. Hope you enjoy it.
Looking forward to this series 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
Finally episode 1.
Don’t tell anyone, Kyle, but this episode is just for you. 😉
@@TheJeepcast 😮. Im just waiting for Bantam episode. Wish i made a trail ride or hopped in one of your rigs to get the Real JK Experience. My 1947 Willys had fuel problems.
thanks for the tutorial. Where did you get your double adj hitch from? I'm doing the same receiver and love your hitch
the hitch is from TorkLift
How did you place the new reinforcement plate on the top, inside?
can you clarify which bracket. maybe at what time in the video was this shown?
This video is amazing . Thank you 🙏
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
EVO does make great stuff. I personally chose to run others airbumps vs Kings. Also chose different spring rates. Ive had the F/R bolt on EVO C/O kits on my 11 JK for many, many years. It has been a great, reliable kit and I purchased the kits when first released by EVO. Also running EVOs bolt on longarm kits. The kits have seen the JK go through a few builds and currently still going strong after all these years. Current status is RJ60s and 40s. I will say EVOs install instructions and hardware (bolts and nuts) suck big. During my install alot of the hardware I made a few trips to hardware store for more appropriate sized stuff. Being a wrench the install wasn't bad, but a newbie thinking "bolt on" may be in for a headache with instructions. I'd also suggest skipping on the shock body grater coil separators and going with huge upgrade and rebuildable items like stuff from AGMs. Your shock bodies will thank you. Good job on video.
thank you!
Dude did you not figure out just disconnect your sway bar links your axle would have dropped much further, instead of using that dangerous spring compressor would have taken you two seconds seriously I mean you got a good video but work smarter not harder, and Wallowed out holes🙄 for the bracket to fit you never Wallow out holes you get the correct drill bit size and drill it out" and clean up that plastic up there it looks like shit this is exactly why I bought my Jeep completely stock unmolested , with no half-ass shade tree mechanic work done. Sorry dude didn't mean to be so harsh but I Cringed during your entire video 😱 but after 16 years of being an aircraft mechanic I do things a little different😉👍
Hello. 1) What was your total install time? 2) Any reason why you did not install the rear kit on the same day? 3) Why did you choose EVO coilover rather than ORI's? 4) How is the system working out at this point?
sorry for the long delay. for a novice in a home garage, you probably looking at a day for each of the front and rear. coilovers over ORI? I fond coilovers more easily adjustable with almost too many ways to adjust. ORIs have less adjustability, though I've seen friends do some of their own machining of internal ORI components to get the behavior they are looking for. The EVO spec is quite soft and provides a very comfortable on-road experience. if you want to bomb the desert you will need to replace the shim stacks for a firmer ride.
Nice channel...
Thank you!
Call GenRight to get the correct joint-the one u have is not correct-in a short answer
Hello all right so I will be installing a king shark stage 3 kit in my jiu and I’m using new axles pro rock 60s , what I wanted to ask is do you have to let the nitrogen out of the bump stops and the shocks in order to do the install , where would I get nitrogen Refill .
you don't have to, but it helps to fully bottom out your coilovers and bump stops so you know exactly where to set your bump stops at. you need the bump stops to fully bottom out just before the coilover does. you can get a nitrogen tank at any welding supply store. or if you take your jeep to a motorcycle shop they will likely have nitrogen to fill yup for you. just drive slowly and carefully when you have no nitrogen in your shocks.
