just got this and the landscape deformation is simply not working. when i attempt this, after adding the "road" layer to my landscape, if i go to "deform landscape" it will dig a hole into the bottom of my map, destroying my landscape. this is quite terrible if im frank. it does do anything close to what is resembled in this video. why might this be acting in this way ? again, i have the layer setup correctly, it is named "road" and i tried this with multiple different bps just to check if it was maybe a bug with one of the roads, it destroys the landscape and digs a hole all the way into the ground no matter waht. and this also happens even if i don't include "lower height" someone help plz
UPDATE: so i got it to "work" but it kinda crashes my computer, and im also just using my original landscape layer instead of the "road" one, i changed the layer name target to my own instead of road for it work but yea it will work sometimes if im really careful but any large moves and it will essetnaillly crash. not the best method of deforming the landscape as i had hoped but i suppose it will work.. if there are any addtional recommendations you might have for me to try so i can optimally use it in the editor or if my method is ok to use in general that woul dbe helpful info, thanks

This is by far the best product i have purchased from unreal marketplace. Once I try this a little more im going to write a review. But this product should be automatically packaged with unreal itself its that good.
In Unreal 5.5, we have the Get Landscape Data node. I'm confused on how to set this up. When I try to use the get actor data and use the tag Intersection, it doesn't work. How should it be connected or do I need to do something else to get it working.
Thank you for reaching out to us with your questions. We are currently working on an update for the Unreal Engine Editor version 5.5. Epic has introduced changes to PCG functionality and modified certain nodes, which may result in a different setup for the latest version. To ensure our product stays up-to-date, we are also preparing new video tutorials to assist you. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you for your continued support!
@Rendertale Good to know. Thanks.
Hey, i wanna ask if there is an easy way of using a spline i already have? i don't wanna recreate it
Thank you for reaching out with your question. Unfortunately, the crossroad generator currently does not support the addition of external splines, particularly landscape splines, due to certain limitations. To make it work, you'll need to create the splines from scratch directly within the generator. However, we appreciate your suggestion and will consider implementing this feature in future updates. Thank you for your input!
Nice plugin, for this price you don't need to code everything by yourself. My small doubt before buying it would be the following: how does different road types work together? Would be nice to see how a road start as a sand road and become an asphalt road or a crossroad with with different surfaces.
Thank you for reaching out to us with your questions! At the moment, transitions between roads made of different materials are not supported yet. However, we are actively planning to expand our library of presets in the future to offer even greater flexibility. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions, and we will consider implementing this feature in upcoming updates.
Good Afternoon, Hope all is well, one quick question, has "Snapping" been removed for the Crossroad Generators blueprints? Within the tutorial ruclips.net/video/HAbwq723OUA/видео.html, there appears to be a snapping dropdown and your "Crossroad Generators" will snap together? My Road Generator will snap no problem to other roads and to a Crossroad, but a Crossroad Generator will not snap to another Crossroad Generator.........any thoughts? Thanks and great plugin.
Thank you for reaching out with your questions and feedback. We appreciate your support! In the latest update of Crossroad Generator (V1.2), the feature “Snapping Crossroad to Crossroad” has been removed from the settings due to functionality considerations. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We value your understanding and continued support.
Hi! It's a great tool! Thank you for your work. One thing I can't find combined crossroad type, so don't have transition from 2 lines road to 1 line road for example.
Thank you for reaching out with your questions and for your support! At the moment, the transition from 2-lane to 1-lane road types is not available in our preset library. However, we’re continuously expanding the library and adding new features and improvements through updates. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to enhance our offerings. Where can we get the gravel road mesh?
Thank you for reaching out! The gravel road mesh was used in our demonstration to show how users can customize roads with their own meshes through the customization module, so it isn’t included as part of the default pack. However, you can download the gravel road mesh from the link below and easily import it into your project. Link: drive.google.com/file/d/1sSqSAh8cLA5bIm7NEQfg_8SVWX0-y9Yp/view?usp=sharing Once imported, you’ll need to apply the gravel material to the mesh. You can find this material in the materials folder under the name MI_GravelRoad_B_RMD. For added realism, we used POM (Parallax Occlusion Mapping) to achieve a displacement effect on the road. This material preset is also included in the pack-just set MM_Base_POM as the parent material in your material settings. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us at our support email: contact@rendertale.com.
HI bro,How to Modify width of road?
Thank you ,I found it,but another issue, why BP_Road_Generator have solo curbs, but BP_cross Road_Generator combine sidewalk ,they are different setting and out of sync
Thank you for reaching out with your question! Currently, the crossroad generator comes with a preset library that combines curbs with sidewalks for functional purposes. However, you can achieve your desired look by customizing the preloaded crossroad meshes. Simply adjust the meshes in the “sidewalk module” within the advanced settings. We’ll also consider adding more flexible options for this feature in future updates.
Is there a way to easily scale up the meshes in the Powerline BP? I've tried to increase it's overall scale but then the flexibility of the cables gets lost.
Thank you for reaching out with your question! Currently, this feature isn’t supported, but we appreciate your suggestion and will consider it for future updates. In the meantime, you can try customizing the powerline poles by replacing them directly in the blueprint. Please note that some adjustments in the construction script may be necessary to ensure compatibility.
@@Rendertale thanks a lot for your answer, really appreciate it! Other than that, your products are amazing ;) Another great feature could be a parameter that allows to distribute the meshes (poles) along the spline based on distance additionaly to spline points to get an even distribution.
Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words! We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying our products. Your suggestion for a parameter to distribute meshes (like poles) evenly along the spline based on distance is a great idea! This would indeed allow for a smoother, more consistent placement along the entire spline without being limited to specific spline points. We'll definitely consider adding this feature in a future update, as it could improve the flexibility and control in setting up assets along the spline. Thank you again for your support and valuable feedback! Let us know if you have any more ideas or questions.
from number of draw call consideration, is it possible to merge material slots of the baked static mesh? because I saw about 10+ material slots for one baked static mesh from the video. It means for rendering a road segment, there will be 10+ draw calls. If I use this tool to setup many roads, the draw call counts will increase significantly. Thanks.
Thank you for reaching out with your question! Yes, merging material slots on a baked static mesh is an effective way to reduce draw calls and optimize performance. You can do this in Unreal Engine by following these steps: 1. Bake the Road into a Static Mesh: Use the Road Baker utility widget to bake the road into static meshes. 2. Enter Modeling Mode: Select the baked road mesh and switch to “Modeling Mode” in the UE Editor. 3. Merge Materials: In the “Modeling” panel, go to the attribute section, and use the "MatEd" (Material Edit) setting to merge the materials on the mesh. Please note that merging materials will also consolidate material IDs, which means you won’t be able to apply unique materials to specific parts of the mesh afterward. This can be a trade-off to consider, depending on the level of customization you need for your roads. Hope this helps to clarify your question! Let us know if you have any further questions or need additional guidance with this process.
Thanks. Today I just purchased this module and found that in latest version, snapping setting is not in detailed panel of road generator. Is this a bug or what?
Thank you for reaching out with your question! The snapping settings for the road generator blueprint can be found in the Details panel under the "SNAPPING" section. This setting should be accessible; if it’s not visible, there may be another issue with your editor setup. If you’re referring to the snapping settings for the crossroad generator blueprint, please note that these options were removed in the latest update due to functionality changes.
He great product! Love using it but I encountered a issue I'm trying to trouble shoot and I cant find a answer so I hope the developer or someone else can help me! Whenever I duplicate my level containing a BP_Road_Generator spline setup then in the duplicated level it appears empty (like there are no meshes set for the road, but there are) I hope someone knows the answer.
Thank you for reaching out with your question. We’ve tested the issue you described by creating a new project with crossroads and road setups, saving it, and duplicating the level. In our tests, the duplicated level worked as expected, and the blueprint appeared without any issues. To assist you more effectively, would it be possible for you to share your project with us? This will allow us to troubleshoot the problem directly. Please contact us at contact@rendertale.com so we can provide further assistance. In the meantime, here are a few steps you might find helpful: 1. Garbage Collection or Memory Loading Issue: Unreal Engine sometimes unloads assets to save memory, which may cause display issues in duplicated or dynamically loaded levels. Try forcing the meshes to reload by temporarily changing their properties, or restart the editor to see if this resolves the issue. 2. Editor Display Settings: Unreal Engine occasionally struggles with displaying duplicated spline setups properly in the viewport. Try toggling visibility settings or refreshing the viewport. You can also right-click the duplicated level in the Content Browser and select “Fix Up Redirectors” to ensure references are clean. 3. Construction Script Issues: If the BP_Road_Generator uses a construction script for mesh placement along the spline, ensure it re-runs correctly in the duplicated level. This may require re-compiling or making a slight change to the blueprint to prompt the editor to update the construction script. 4. Update and Recompile: Make sure your editor version is up to date, and try recompiling the project to see if this resolves any underlying issues. Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to assisting you.
I got this recently and the Power Pole Variations is bugged to hell. I've tried various fresh projects and all sorts of variations. And it seems all the numbers are out and it adds the variations seemingly wherever it wants unless its absolutely placed in a position i dont actually want.

We have not encountered this problem before, nor have we received similar reports from other customers. We appreciate your support and patience, and we're eager to help you resolve this as quickly as possible.
How can I add new spline points to build the road?

Hello, I'm trying to get the PCG graphs that come with the pluggin working and when I try to set up the get actor data to "by tag" it doesn't work at all with the landscape or the road, when I set it "by class" and pick the road generator it works fine but just around the road, the rest of the landscape is empty and I can't figure out how I can get it to work as your example.
Hello, thank you for reaching out to us with your question. It sounds like you're encountering some issues with setting up PCG graphs using the "by tag" option for actor data. Let us provide some guidance to help resolve this: 1. Verify Tags: First, make sure that the road generator and crossroads generator actors have the correct tags assigned. Double-check that the tag names in the PCG graph match exactly with those assigned to the actors in your scene. Tags are case-sensitive, so even small differences can prevent them from working as expected. 2. Check PCG Graph Configuration: Ensure that your PCG graph is properly configured to recognize multiple tags, if needed. The nodes and connections should be set up to process the data from these tagged actors. 3. Actor Boundaries: When using the "by class" method, if the PCG graph only works around the road, it might be due to actor boundaries or volume settings. Ensure that the landscape is included within the PCG volume's influence area. 4. Debugging: Use the debugging tools within the PCG graph editor to trace the flow of data and see where it might be failing when using "by tag." If you've gone through these steps and the issue persists, please provide any error messages or further details you are encountering. Feel free to reach out with more questions or send us any relevant screenshots at our support email: contact@rendertale.com

Awesome product! One question and I am sure it's me doing something wrong. when I try to alt+leftclick drag a spline point out, for me the mesh doesn't follow, I have to draw out a second spline point, then Ctl+z and then the previous spline points update with the meshes. does anyone know what I am possibly doing wrong?
Hello, thank you for reaching out with your questions and for your feedback! Your issue is indeed interesting, as Alt + Left Click + Drag should definitely work in default project settings. Our suggestion is to check your editor preferences for any settings related to spline manipulation or mesh updates. There might be options that can be adjusted to improve the workflow. If none of the above solutions work, it's possible that you're encountering a bug or glitch in the Unreal Engine editor. Consider searching the Unreal Engine forums or issue tracker to see if others have reported similar issues. Alternatively, try updating to the latest version of Unreal Engine to see if the problem has been resolved.
@@Rendertale Thank you, I will look into those avenues.
We have conducted some research on this issue. It seems that if you are using the new UE editor 5.4, Epic has changed the way blueprints react to spline updates.
