My wife and I have driven past this little cemetery so many times yet never had a chance to stop and check it out. I never would have guessed there were so many graves! It is distressing to see the vandalism. Interesting information regarding the settlers.

I was a former employee and discovered someone dug down too the vault of Tony spilotro and was able too not only break open the vault but cut open the casket and took something from the hand !! Idk if they realized his father was on top of his son seeing it was a double depth gravesite but they definitely were able too get too the hand of the body !! Almost fell into the hole w my lawnmower

Very interesting! My wife and I always visited cemeteries wherever we travelled but we never set foot in McCool cemetery and were not aware of the Crisman family history. We were aware of the Crisman surname as it defines the subdivision where we have resided.

Near Medaryville Indiana is a graveyard called Independence Cemetery about 3 miles west. There is a section of graves going back to the 1800's. The Methodist built a log cabin church early when it started but it burnt down. Then around 1860 they built a new church that is still standing. It's about 40 minutes from Valparaiso and you can find online info about the place. Hope you can visit this place.

I was working for Forest Preserve District of Cook County IL There was a small cemetery located in Thornton IL I was informed that there were very old graves located there. Possibly former slave's , I could not find any information about this.

Interesting video, I know the area on the very east side was for the children of families,
Logansport, Indiana had a Civil War cemetery near the Eel River when I was a kid. They moved it when the land was being utilized for some improvements.

@@gloriamartin6261 I'm 68 years old we found the Civil War cemetery walking through the woods going fishing when I was 13. It had a wrought iron fence around it, surrounded by thick woods. Many years later after coming home for good from serving as a Marine, I went to see the cemetery. But it was gone as was the woods, in place were office buildings ,apartments. I asked they said they moved it but never found out where.

Colosimo died 1919 you keep saying 1920 get your facts straight
Note: The mausoleum is in poor condition due to a recent break-in attempt. The tomb slab shows Colosimo's death as 1919, a typo of the real date which was in 1920. Look in up!
