I just watched this episode for the first time on PlutoTV; truth be told, when they meet Robin, you can see he's already in pain. I thought this was the episode when John Belushi possibly passed away recently. This episode aired Feb 1981, 2mo after Lennon was killed. And a little after a year, JB will pass away as well. 😔

Coincidently this aired the week that John Lennon was killed it was on later in the week

I loved these ending bits at the end of the episodes, even as a kid. (Even if the show was before my time.) It was unique to see the main character reflect on the things they learned that episode, and offer some perspective, and depth, even when presented in a humorous way. The show was in some ways intelligent for that, and it kinda taught me to think, consider, and reflect on things I experienced too.

Would Freddy Prinze, one of the celebrities that Mork said was a victim of their own fame, be proud of his son, for following in his father's footsteps as an actor? Freddie Sr. didn't think of how his son would later feel about him killing himself before his son can get to know him. Even if John Lennon's 1st born son, Julian, had seen this episode of Mork & Mindy, he would've been touched of hearing his father's name in it and sad.

Wonder if Christopher Reeve, who was a close friend of Robin Williams, had ever watched Mork & Mindy during the show's 4-season run on ABC-TV from 1978 to 1982?

If Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney & George Harrison had seen this episode of Mork & Mindy, they would've felt sad to hear Mork mention John Lennon along with 6 other people as some of the victims of their own fame.

If I had a time-machine that would work only once - I'd slip back to 2013 and get a note to him to get tested for Lewy Body Demetia. Forget about Hitler, this is important.

I like this part. Mork has fun with the role,but injects real life issues. We laugh and learn.

Even eerier the guy who Voiced "Orson" was an Actor named Ralph James. He himself passed away awhile ago.😔B.W.

The people he mentioned had lacking morals and poor worldviews. With an un-Godly worldview, you have no hope once you achieve fame. "Imagine" there's a Heaven, and a hope beyond. It's easy if you try. Imagine something to live or die for. John Lennon was later found to be abusive towards women. Living for today is how you get selfish people with no hope.

I thought he committed suicide related to the onset of dementia. Not sure if this is accurate. My dad was an extra on Mrs. Doubtfire. My dad said he met Robin and he was very nice to everyone.

I just wish that Robin would know the outpour of love the public had for him and the whole world was in shock at his passing. I was so lucky in 1985 to have shook his hand one night at the back of the Comedy Store. Brilliant human being, so missed by the world.
