@marthabarrera9161 Places will take usd but often they'll give you change in pesos. I had some experiences where they gave me change back at a lower exchange rate so I'd recommend exchanging and just getting pesos either once you arrive or from your bank.

@TurgaySelvi That's amazing, we really enjoyed our experience on Maupiti! Moearii Lodge was great, tranquil grounds, great host and just a short walk to the beautiful beach. There was a place to grab food called Chez Mimi but otherwise you can get some groceries, we were able to purchase some small items from the hosts. You can also order food in from the restaurants, we don't speak French so we had the host help us. Anyway hope this helps, its such a beautiful island and I'll know you'll enjoy! @crypticcomputing604 Never been to Bali (definitely want to go), but been to Riviera Maya several times. I think the food is incredible but several places have jacked their prices up like everywhere else. Plus the dollar isn't as strong. As for cartels, i was told by locals as long as you don't sell drugs, compete with them or buy them you'll be fine. Never has a problem. There are a lot of vendors but you can always bargain with them if you like something. I've been to Holbox 3 times and always find new places to drink and eat, again excellent food, unique sea color, wildlife and overall probably the chillest Island. Isla Mujeres is probably still my favorite place, but same a lot of places over priced, golf carts are now ridiculous, but it's a special place to me. If you never been I'd say definitely visit. The water color is beautiful, and there is a lot going on depending on what you like. And again the food is probably some of the best in the world in my opinion. Although I really don't like Tulum, there the taxis and restaurants will really rip you off down there unless you stay downtown. To rate it 1-10 it's tough, I've been to some amazing places in the world but always love going back. But probably won't be back for a while, want to explore new places. Hope this helps a bit!

@richmugavero7654 I’d definitely recommend getting pesos. From my experience, whenever I paid in USD, they’d give me a lower exchange rate and then give me change in pesos anyway. You’ll usually get better value by exchanging for pesos first, so it’s worth it! I'd check with your bank or exchange when you arrive. Airport is usually the worst.

The info online is confusing for sure. Some say they're legal, and some say they will be confiscated. My wife had no problem bringing a few of them in. I'm not sure about the convenient stores but there are beach vendors that also sell them, got one for around 200 pesos. With their popularity I'd be surprised if it's illegal to bring them in. Anyway, we had no problem but you can always buy them there. Right makes no sense!

Yep cheapest we found as well, thats where we rented I believe. We usually rent from Pepe's but crazy how much prices have gone up around the island.

Hey there thank you so much! No problem flying on Raro for the most part except for closer to the airport. As for Aitutaki the mainland is small and I had some issues flying as everything was close to airport so had to unlock the area on my drone app, kind of a pain but it worked. I was disappointed i couldnt fly at the Aitutaki Private Lagoon Resort as it was just too close to the airport. You should be able to fly otherwise with no problem and get some great shots! I think November is the start of the rainy season, although I hear it's a great time to visit. It looks like Aitutaki Village is very close to where we stayed at the Private Lagoon Resort so yes you will have plenty of beautiful water to swim in and many nice beaches not far. I hope you visit and definitely book a boat tour and see the lagoon and One Foot Island. Probably the most beautiful place I've ever been. Thanks for the comment ☀️🌴🤙🏝

Hi there, our first accommodation Private Lagoon Resort Aitutaki is adults only however there are many great family resort in the area. We also stayed at an Airbnb which was great and Tamanu Beach resort which was one of my favorite places to stay since it was right on the beach with calm waters perfect for kids. They have an adults only area and a family friend side. Hope this helps!

I believe you have to take a ferry from Punta Sam which is the closest to your resort, probably around 10 minutes. But I am not so familiar with Playa Mujeres, I would recommend checking with your resort regarding transfer to Isla. Hope you have a great time!! 🌴🤙

Yes you should definitely bring it. There were a couple beaches on the island that were no fly zones close to the airport but you can unlock and otherwise good to go. Hope you get some great shots! 🇲🇽🤙🌴
