How to get from 23rd Ave to 51st without stopping once

Timed it just right when heading downtown. The LRT was just leaving Century Park station just as I approached and didn't have to stop until just north of 54th Ave.
Jackknifed Semi on the Yellowhead
Просмотров 4410 лет назад
After the city cleared the roads, there was a ton of ice remaining. This semi started in the second lane, likely tried stopping for the light and jackknifed. If you look closely you can see the skid marks on the ice just as I change lanes. The truck just barely missed the traffic light on the left also. Traffic was thankfully very light so switching lanes was relatively easy.
Yet another accident

This corner has been particularly bad for accidents. This time a car plowed into an ETS bus. From what a witness said, the car didn't even slow down at all before hitting the bus. The bus had stopped at the stop sign before entering the intersection and the car should have been able to easily see the 40 foot long bus in the intersection long far enough in advance to slow down or even stop. The ...

CN Train arriving in Blue River BC - [HD]

Shot at the only crossing in the small town of Blue River, British Columbia. Blue River has a passing track and a small yard (3 storage tracks) but no locomotives are stationed here. One thing I did notice was that the mainline rails were manufactured in Japan.

End of an era [HD]

The era of trolley bus service in Edmonton came to an end at 5pm on May 2nd, 2009. We started by following BBC #195 which we came across first. ETS had a special trolley out on route 3 also. The older Brill Trolley #202 was giving free rides earlier in the day but was transporting VIPs on its final run as the last trolley to be in service by ETS.

Cold drive home

The temperature was only -30°C this night. This is only small part of the route I take home from work, including a rare sight - the Edmonton Police. I was testing to see how well my little point & shoot camera and the small tripod would stay in place during driving.

The driver was in diabetic shock. I didn’t know him but met his father a few times after this happened, he was a really nice guy. He missed his son so bad and ended up committing suicide..
Hopefully the idiot only hurt himself! 😠
You are not doing good
Huggy looks very sad

www.canada.com/edmontonjournal/news/story.html?id=345679ff-53a4-4586-b601-36e00dbc5e47 All those assholes talking shit about the driver as a suicide, he had diabetes and was hypoglycemic. His blood sugar went too low and he didn't know what he was doing How could any of you laugh at this man's death?!
This video is really 6 years old?!?! Man, where does the time go.
This comment is really 6 years old?!?! Man, where does the time go.
@@RolIinStoner420 lol.... holy shit that's crazy!! another 6 years gone!!
"Where does the time go" What a stupid phrase everyone in the English language say!
Takes talent to rear end a bus in good dry conditions. Someone on a cell phone perhaps?
You guys should have a lot more respect for these girls I'm a cheerleader (all star) and memorizing all this is a lot okay!!!
Sent the slammer?
12 miles the wrong way in a big truck unconscious is impossible. I know I drive a truck for a living. I am not being mean nor rude. Just stateing the fact, He was in control the whole time, Even the driver in the video states it, Understand something with a semi. There are two parts you have to control. The tractor and the trailer. They both drift side to side just a slight bump in the road cause movement through out the vehicle. So with that said He was in control the whole 12 miles
I was a transport driver and I am also diabetic. Diabetic shock is the correct term here. To those who do not know that diabetic shock, is not Insulin shock. The term diabetic shock means that your blood sugars are not safe and in fact are too low. This will cause Hypoglycemia which is characterized by disorientation and a sense of disassociation which is different than unconsciousness. Insulin shock will also cause low blood sugars but it is specifically related to the administration of insulin. Diabetes itself causes Hyperglycemia. Diabetic Therapy has the goal of reducing blood glucose levels to within a normal range. Should the driver have been driving NO. In the end is he really at fault when his ability to make reasonable judgements is significantly impacted. Not completely as his medical condition with its resulting confusion and disorientation is a mitigating factor which must be taken into account.
this man did not commit suicide. he was a grate man. he was my auntie's cuzin's boyfriend. Mark R.I.P. we will all miss you
Fucking night dispatchers.
Thanks - it probably isn't, I guess. Blue R. is a pretty small place now that I remember it. Maybe Clearwater is the crew change site in those parts.
I think it used to be but I'm not sure if it is still currently. Every time I'm through there I never see a train stopped on the sidings.
Neat spot, nice shot! So is Blue River also a crew change location?
@DieselSmoke92 Actually no. They make up half the fleet.
@DieselSmoke92 Blue River is the start of the Clearwater Sub and the train is heading into it.
@seapeddler WHAT!!!!!!!!!
@krafty777 As far as one having a diabetic attack i would not call it that. my grandmother died in a car going the wrong way and it was ruled that her sugar had dropped. If your blood sugar drops low enough it make you unaware of what u r doing whther you r driving a car or walking around the yard. So it is possible for them to be able to go that far if thats what happened i don't know along with everybody else i feel bad for the family of the driver no matter why it happened.
@cybermoss1 You Don't know if he committed suicide or if he had a health problem or whatever reaon it happened we will never know so im gonna agree with metallicaissoldout until you know for sure don't pass judgement.
I'm done arguing with a bunch of low life, waste of skin pussys. Keep hiding behind you computer screens, none of you were in that truck. Even if you think different about what happend, Show a little respect! Let mark rest. He was a one in a million person, always doing for others not himself. R.I.P
And people are going to respect an imbecile like you calling them names like that? Ha! Your opinion means nothing! Idiot was still driving! 😠
@amyt0101 HE COMMITED SUICIDE I DON'T CARE WHERE YOUR FROM. PROOF IS IN THE VIDEO.
@krafty777 Then maybe you need to get THE WHOLE STORY...it was CONFIRMED BY A CORRONER that a diabetic attack happened. The wrong man definately died that day as there are many others wastes of human kind whojump to the first story they heard and spread it like wild fire.
@cybermoss1 get a life you ass. I'm sure if he was out to do that he could have found asimpler way you un- symaptheic waste of breath. MARK SANTOS was his name and he was long time resident of my community, afriend to my brothers. You have no right to post your uncompassionate views on here.
Hello he killed himself thats what he did. RIP.
@Natebeats It's not overpriced because of the dragon. It's the same price for every cineplex in the city. It's overpriced because cineplex is cheap.
A good dose of antibiotic should prevent these 'diabetic' attacks. No joke, but it is also possible the chap was engaging in 'tantric' text messaging, with full boner exposed in the cab? I know someone will send a typical RUclips admonishment message. Next thing you know someone will say that 911 was a diabetic incident. And all autoworkers are diabetic, and the Universe is diabetic. More sad would be the revelation that Elmo has diabetes. Onward Christian cottagers !
Someone needs a tan quick....
im gonna havto upload my Blue River train vid
@qbmike5000 Do you seriously just log on to try and start crap? What a waste
did they ever mybe the guy had heart attack its happen before
Haha if they were supposed to be doing the same dance, something somewhere went totally wrong lol
For every door that closes... :^|
I don't like the new grey/red colours, looks depressing. The white, when clean looks classy, even after all these years.
The first time I found out about Cariwest kinda freaked me out. I was laying in bed sleeping, and fairly new to the downtown area. Then I heard all this approaching music, and saw a float going right past my building...I began to wonder if I was dreaming. I spoke to some people that I knew later that day at work, and nobody knew what I was talking about. They didn't know about Cariwest either... It was kinda surreal.
this wreck does leave alot of questions
I didn't say anything negative jerky. Of course I sympathize with everyone involved with this. By craziness I meant the sheer sight of the incident transpiring.
I live in Edmonton. and have been to this place, its cool but very overpriced .. because of the fancy dragon
frightening scene my ass. LOL Dumbass shouldn't be driving if he's exhausted. Or drunk. Or any reason that could lead him to drive in the wrong lane. Just be glad he didnt take anyone with him. What a fool
Avesta im with you! All the way! 😁
all you can do is laugh
I think it is very bad idea to destroy trolleybus system in the city. Trolleybuses save environment and money too. Investment to overhead wires will pay off after 20 years. They need less energy even when you produce power from burning fossil fuels. Trolleybuses are more than busses! But let´s paint some bus lanes, we don´t want to have them in traffic jams! Trams have more advantages in bigger cities but they are more expensive!
good location and dinamic locomotive thank you for sharing !
what was his name?
i lold @ the cops name laycock *peter griffin laugh*
