I'm sure this clip would be very helpful, well if there was someone explain what is going on, how to bleed the skimmer. These clip with no dialogue are rubbish.

Can you tell me how far into the aquarium this skimmer reaches out from the back wall? I want to see if it will fit in my AIO. Thanks!

any one can take off detachable components to clean them. The poorly designed chamber between where the impeller fires the bubbles through the short tube and the perforated plastic plate is a nightmare to clean thoroughly. Maybe Mr. KYAquaria can fill me in on what i'm missing as the only way I can effectively clean that area is to completely disassemble the unit and soak the outer housing in a 5 gallon pail of vinegar. (Note to engineers- Why wouldn't you have designed the perforated plate to be removable?) Also the poorly designed sliding collection and output cups get loose after about a year and just fall off into the tank.

I’ve got 2 of the octopulse 4’s and 2 mp40’s on my 180 gallon. Way smaller in length, about same diameter and moves way more water. Have had them for over a yr and highly recommend these over the Mp40’s even if you can’t Anita-sync them.

How do you get the impeller out of the pump without snapping the cheap plastic impeller shaft? Of course you didn't show that.

How do you get the replacement pump? I ordered the replacement pump and was sent the wrong item, a pump with the same model number but a different item that won't attach to this skimmer.

This skimmer is the first mid size skimmer I have owned and its amazing. Its overkill on my 55g, you wouldn't believe how much skimmate this monster pulls out! Its sooo quiet and it is super easy to clean and disassemble!

Ive got one of these, really pleased with it. I have been borrowing an mp40 wQD, now having got this I'm so pleased i didnt buy the mp40. The lack of directional adjustment on the mp40 bothered, yea its a good bit of kit, expensive though. This was 100 quid less. They are identical in terms of noise, as in you can only hear them when on a alternating flow setting as with the mp40.
