Seems like Steve actually had to calm down his style a bit to find that PERFECT riff and that speaks volumes to the phrase "less is more" when it comes to playing guitar, he found the feeling and ran right along side it, blues players can find that empathy and intuition and when they do, it's otherworldly ❤❤

i really love this track. thre have been some hard times in my life that I just listened to this track and pretended im master chief;. recently i got a trucks and i drive around in it like warthog. I played the song on the sound system. I felt like a kid a gain thank you steve

13:22 I feel like after Steve played this Marty and Mike decided to write a song around that cause I doubt Reclaimer existed yet and I guess Unyielding was just a track built around Steve’s idea but less intense. Funny though, I always thought they played Unyielding for Steve and then they created Reclaimer but it seems like Steve played guitar and inspired the duo of songs to be created. Those are my favorites on the soundtrack.

My favorite thing is that Steve Vai knew when to add the embellishments, and when to reinforce the existing orchestral melody, even while just vibing. It balances so beautifully, and that's the mark of a good musician.
