Brother...me as well.....around drummoyne on the boat, at least one king makes an appearance 😁, hopefully in a few weeks when.i get the boat out again. Yesterday's effort was slow, apart from the ray for some excitement....

yep, but still got the ol heart racing, and the rod I used got tested pretty well. No good bloke, that you have not been out. Good thing weather warming up, still a few months yet of hopefully, decent fishing.

Hello, thanks for watching. That wharf is closed to fishing by the school so they are either have permission from the school, unlikely, or are managed not to get caught. I've fished that wharf for a few years, when I could. Now I have a boat, I fish other parts of the river. I fish when I can, not when the better times are. Still, 15 fish has to be pretty good for a few lazy hours during the day.

are you referring to the boat,or the driver, hehehehe...thanks, its a solid boat, despite being old and worn. Ive taken it though 2m swell and decent winds, handles it great.

Thats true, Ian, Ive no idea when mine was built. I got it over 5 years ago, bought from marine mechanic, the floors and side compartments felt soft, but have never been a problem. The wood is probably long gone and theres so much fibreglass, it is still useable. I knew the transom was rotted, but a motor tilt, lift it up, motor did not move, again, so much structure, and I thrashed it around for 2 years, no working tilt and trim, before I dug out, from inside the boat, most of the rotted wood, cut pieces to fit, re-glassed it in, Hey presto, solid transom again. Im also fortunate to have a family member that knows boat motors well and yes, Evinrude/Johnson are remarkable, still going after so long. If the motor pumps water on inspection, is usually 95% good, just a water test. I had the carbies done about a year or so back as dirt got in one and clogged it. Id like to rebuild my old ride, one day, gut it out, replace floors and sides. still it goes well, bounces across chop well. And brings home the fish.

Thanks dude, its a great boat, not many about, anyone that does see it and recognizes it has LOTS of grey hair . The 50hp is a weapon, with a 17 pitch prop, up from 15 pitch, just goes so well. its does, with three people including myself, and about 100 kg diving gear (near 400kg all up) still got to 28 knots no problem. most of the old fibreglass boats are good, but like mine, needed transom work and some repairs, but hey, it floats and goes.

Good stuff Larry. I've considered fky fishing, might get into it at one stage. Still...the goodold retrieve a worm under a float (plus lots of burley) does the task.

That's a good idea. I was thinking of crushing up worms (as I have enough), and mixing them into bread burly, but the juice idea has merit for sure.

Cheers for watching. The worms have been doing the task, they stay on the hook, fish chase them under a slow retrieve. Lot better catch rate than bread for me.

Thanks for watching. It was just down on the shore , the tench reserve playground is up on the hill. I walk down through the long grass and find a spot where the trees are open. I burly up with wet mashed bread, and cast earthworms on hook into burly flow. It is winter and the water really cold so expect it to be slow.
