A quick video showing the replacement of the sink, leaked like a sieve, was beige in colour and cracked and crazed, it also had a tap that didn’t turn off. Great start to Caravanning! Thank you very much. I’d rather take front off a bit because the one I’m working on now, I’m scared to take the rocker cover off because it’s all really worn out and should be working for my client for at least the following 3 months. So I just replace the plugs and it should be good again for at least the following 3 months before it gets sold 👍🏻 thanks!

Nice vid mate. I've got a 2005 2.5d transporter with more or less a half rebuilt engine - new turbo, water pump, injector refurb, head and valve clean, battery and supposedly new glow plugs. However, when left more than 4 hours ie cold engine I have to crank it about 10 secs before it starts. Once started it fires off the key straightaway every time - any ideas? If the plugs are suspect does it make sense that once it fires you can turn it off and then start it sweet as a nut every time? Bamboozled to be honest. Mileage is 300k+ but once going is pretty flawless.
Thank god I found this I wouldn't have had a clue ... my control just spins and doesn't adjust the air flow to anywhere , I think it's stuck in no man's land 🙃

Hi. What engine code is this one? I’ve an AxD 2.5tdi and been putting it off for months, getting limp mode now so have to start restart engine, I’m guessing the dpf is desperate for a regen so, I’ve got to tackle this, this week.
Hi, it’s the AXD engine. My AXD didn’t come with a DPF from factory so check to make sure yours actually. Has one fitted, the newer AXD had them. Fitted, yet earlier models didn’t. If you can get it scanned with a decent diagnostic scanner and it should point you in the right direction. Does it go into limp mode after you have put your foot down?
@@RustyNLC Crickey that’s the fastest reply ever! Thank you. Limp mode on startup. But vagcom told me I’ve three dead glow plugs last year. If when driving I turn engine off and back on, limp mode is gone and stays gone. I’ll get vagcom on it again but i defo need to change the glow plugs. I’m not looking forward to it. Was it the long or short ones?
Yes I obviously your glow plugs need doing which is a valid reason to replace them. But I wouldn’t be suprised if the limp mode is linked to a different cause. These engines do suffer with the variable vanes inside the turbo sticking. Vagcom would be your best solution to diagnosing the fault 👍🏻

Finally someone figured out the real problem. I had two transporters in the past, with the same problem. I could save it if I watched this video before. Most people on the internet believe it's the module under the seat. Thumbs up , nice work.

Hi do you no if a 802 will directly work instead of a 801. I have 801 but can only find 802 help
Off the top of my head you should be ok with the 802, but would need to configure/code it with VCDS (vag com)
I think 802 is drivers and 801 is passenger side.

Hi,could you pls advise if wiring harness is the same procedure for osr,having just watched your video on damaged nsr abs harness,, had the harness replaced last year but lights have come back on ,suspect loose connection as came on about 3 weeks later,the mechanic I'm using now is struggling to find the harness to check connection,thank you for your time in putting thes videos on as so helpful,thanks Tony

Without knowing your registration to determine the exact engine code, it will either be tucked on too, or at the bottom towards the back

Im also busy with a T5 suspect the input shaft might have too much play in it..... Wheels turning fast while both wheels are in the air on jackstands and gear in neutral....... Anyways that shaft he is working on is on the right hand side.... Think video is inverted lol.....
I serviced a 2013 2 ltr Astra yesterday. who ever decided to put the oil filter with no room had to take the driver wheel off. and use a 32mm low profile socket.
Yep it’s a pain. It’s the same on the Vauxhall insignia’s also. 😖
@@RustyNLC have you had any experience with fiat 500 on dash saying excess radiator fluid temperature. I've been asked to look at one. I know they have issues with the thermostat. 🔧🔧🚘🚘
@@meirionevans9088 I’d check the thermostat, the thermostat housings tend to crack/leak, and also check the temp sensor. Iv come across a fair few that have failed.

At Abingdon College - the 04-plate VW LT46 Sprinter minibus was my least favourite because of that reason. Happened practically all the time. I watched it accelerate and the exhaust was a bit blue. That would explain the smell!

Hi morning just a Quick question my alarm come with two fuseholders did you use any on your installation on your siren Or your module?
Sadly this is an AWFUL design flaw on the Transporters. VW KNOW about it but do they change the design as they build newer models - NO! So they can make a FORTUNE on 'Steuergerats'!! The fix I have done is once fitting a new controller - apply clear silicone over ALL the slots and gaps and aound the plugs once you have plugged it in. I caught the drivers side BEFORE it cooked (and sealed it) sadly not the passenger side. I reckon its a fiddle and they leave it BROKEN to get deals with selling on new parts to suppliers - they arent stupid. I used to think Dubs were SUPERB - and then I bought one and discovered all the design flaws. GREAT VID CHEERS!
Actually, the design has been improved on the newer models. I've got a 2008, and the steuergeraet doesn't look anything like the one in the video (it's much smaller, and the plug is facing towards the rear).

Is this the same setup on the 5.1? Just changed wheel sensor after garage say it was that corner flagging up error, but still have the abs lights on. Initally the light would come on for first drive, then if i turned engine on and off it worked again. Now on continuously. If you unplug cable from sensor and bridge the terminals with a cable would that create a circuit and show if the fault is in the loom? just a thought.

Hello. You maybe know, where i can find ESP sensor on T6 model?
An ESP system will have various sensors, located on abs block, and each wheel (abs sensors). Your best bet would be to find out what fault code is stored in the ecu, that will narrow down the location of the fault
@@RustyNLC Problem, that i found info, sensor is under driver seat, but its empty. Problem is ESP, and cant find sensor. VV Multivan T5, AWD. I check every catalogue and nothing..

Try scanning both analogue and DTV channels, and make sure the aerial is outside the vehicle (pass through side window).
We’re the breaks banging when applied?
No in my case it was just the ABS light on the dash which was illuminated. Personally I’d Check the ABS pick up rings (what the sensors read from) for corrosion or see if they have cracked.
He always looks as if he is doing something naughty and the wife could come round the corner at any time.
Do you need that computer or can you also meassure it with the oil dip stick ?
If the car has an actual dip stick fitted then you can use that, if it has a digital level (no dip stick fitted) then you have to rely on the onboard level reading.
