I was planning a Lothlorien army as well but it fell to the wayside. After seeing this video I may have to pick it up again.

I like the colour scheme and the paintjob! But what happend to his Face? Do they have to press his had so hard in the helmet that his Face look like towel?😅😂

Played Lothlorien Khazad Dum Alliance last tournament with Galadriel as leader and during for hearthguard. It was nice, as you get the burly def 7 frontline with fight 6 spear supports. It was really amazing, the Lothlorien models worked great to fill the spots Khazad dum lacks.

Lothlorien Elves or Galadhrim are often depicted with Blond or Golden hair, which goes nicely with their armor. Their hair can also be greyish or silvery. The galadhrim could have a mixture of silver and gold color schemes, while the lothlorien wood elves can have browner or darker hair. Mirkwood elves on the other hand usually have brown hair, varying from standard brown, to reddish-brown or dirty blond. Rivendell elves usually have black or dark brown hair.

I actually like the blonde hair on the test elf. Looking at the model from the back, the blonde colour contrasts quite well with the blue cloak.

Incredible timing on this video. Just started painting my all metal miniature, NMM Lothlorien army. Been collecting Haldir's Elves with bow and sword, guard of the galadhrim court and all heroes available in metal. About 80 warriors + the heroes as I'm starting the painting journey

Trust me, it's big deal for some people lol! For the record, anytime you see DH in an elvish word, it makes a voiced/soft th and d sound, showcased through the letter ð. It's used in words like: the, then, this, there or that. Try spelling them as dhe, dhen, dhis, dhere or dhat with the pronunciation in mind to compare them to certain elvish words. TH in Elvish words make an actual hard th sound, showcased through the letter θ. It's used in Thrice, Thin, Think, Through or Thor. It's a bit tricky at first, but with some practice, you can start to correctly pronounce words like Caradhras, Galadhrim, Galadhon, Golodh, Enedh, Edhil, Edhel, Eledh or Dhaer.

I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of this series! I'm currently painting up my wife's Lorien. She wanted them a bit brighter so we're going with Green and Gold but I love the Silver Blue look.

Love to see some Lothlorien content! Interested to see the Lothlorien terrain I’m stuck as to where I go with doing my own. I must say I think I have the complete opposite view of the Galadhrim court guard to you I tolerated the OG sculpts but when those forgewolrd ones dropped I switched them out as soon as possible 😂 For the troops I actually went with the plastic options though I do like the metal ones, the old plastics were the first ever models I bought when getting into the game so I have some nostalgia for them I guess. Only used certain sculpts from the plastic kit and heavily converted them.

Just the video i was looking for thanks ! Im disappointed that the forge world stuff is bent , you pay a lot of money for the premium sculpts and the spears are bent and the horse doesn't line up. Definitely going to be looking at some other options to proxy these. how did you feel about them ?

This looks really good, might be an idea to do shortened tutorial vids using the footage with a voiceover to inspire other people in the new edition to build terrain!

Yeah, I don't think it is you that is the issue with GW / Forge world sculpts and gaps I have the same issue. They look amazing but never seem to go together quite right. I had just been telling a friend of mine I feel spoiled having a 3D printer these days because I had forgotten how painful putting GW models together can be.

I do like the sculps but I do think they would be more suited to the hill tribe of Dunland ascetics of a rag tag army look rather than uniformed. Many thanks for another great vlog.

I like the idea of coloring carn dum units different colors. Aldrak and Fraecht would look great with a darker red or black. Captains and banner bearers could have some greens and greys, and warriors could have more muted versions of that. I would love to see your Carn Dum army fully realized!

The heroes and troops really have grown on me since they were shown off. I went with loads of different browns for my Aldrac and will do the same when I get some of the troops as well, looks a lot more Middle Earth then the red

With all the talk of another new Rulebook & Rise of Angmar coming.... Are there any books you suggest staying away from??? I've only played a game or 2 so far, but have recently bought a revised Rulebook (& now expecting to buy a re-revised Rulebook). I also have the Battle Companies, Hobbit Armies & Lord of the Rings Armies. But I'm always keeping an eye out for a deal on Defense of the North, etc. But now I'm concerned about buying ANYTHING. I expect to now be $150 USD into the Rules. And as I understand it, Pretty much ALL of the rest of my books will be trash? Thoughts???

Thanks for the video! I think it is an accurate model and sounds like the rules for this version are pretty good…but overall I am in the “it’s ok” boat. Don’t think I will get him anytime soon after release (being in the US, likely only ship 3 units here anyway, then out of stock for months 😂)

Not sure I would catch it live, but I'd love to see a stream for warhammer day. Model works for me, but I am more excited by the implication of multiple profiles for Helm, that's absolutely the thing to do and would be super fun.
