nah i found out my squeaking wasnt me when my friend who has nevert squeaked once asked to switch mouth pices with his and he tried it and started squeaking aswell

I think violin is harder than clarinet. I play them both and violin is harder although that’s relative for other people. Tell me what do you think of this?

I can't blame the first one. We were all bad at something before we're good at it. Relearning the clarinet after 20 years, I squeak all the time now. Especially when going over the break.

When you learn to work on reeds and break them in, they are so consistent you'll never worry about them again. That said, I'm the one who always glisses and plays high XD

The thing with my highschool band is that my band instructor picks a 1st clarinet from every grade level, so there’s 4 first chairs and then the rest are either 2nd or 3rd parts. And I’m the 1st chair for my grade level leaving around 6 other backhoe clarinets. THING IS The back row clarinets like to try and pretend they’re better than the first row’s even though the never come to practice or even try 😭

I'm the one who never practices... what I'm supposed to practice, and somehow always does well.

I'm a sax player, and I dont usually blame my reed, but sometimes you can get a bad one it and it can be a real pain in the ass.

i sort of have done all of those once but i blame the reed a lot

But there was SO many times it WAS the reed and nobody believed me, but then I'd switch them and everything was totally fine but nobody was paying attention anymore

I have to say, that it's always the reed's fault. I swear only 1 reed in a box is good.

I played bass clarinet in middle school. I just realized that I needed so much more practice. I don't remember ever blaming my issues on my reed. I may have been suffering from anxiety.

Would love to see more music content. How bout some vocal and instrumental solos or duets. Jazz, classical, or other. Any type of performances with different instruments.

You forgot those who don’t count there rest and just listen to others so they are always late and clarinets who don’t count rest but guess so they are always early

I'm totally the person who blames the reed. it's just too accurate lol. But when he said that he went through five reeds.....that's too insane.

This one clarinetist in my band thinks that he’s better than everyone because he’s played longer so he has the worst posture and tone quality and is really lazy because he thinks he’s the best in our band
