Good to see you back in the shop, Ed!
Hahahaha, I too have many ubiquitous free Harbor Freight flashlights stuck to my toolbox.
LOVE how it turned out!!
I cheated and got to see the finished product in person! Neat to see how it started!! It turned out so awesome!!!❤
Nice work!
Looks really good!
That’s quite some creativity Ed - very original.
I like these arty projects. Very creative. And. Spy a little scale modelling project on the workbench. Are we going to see the truck and hauler project one day? 👍
Thanks for taking us along Ed - looks like an excellent show. Loved the gigantic Minneapolis, and the model beam engine was a Stuart Major I believe, with another Stuart engine next to it. Fine craftsmanship all round. Nice group of Fergies also. 👍👍
Looking good so far. On to part 2.
Next generation. Posterity. that word is in the Preamble to our Constitution and the Bible also. Terrific. It's the right thing to do.
Good video for the back.👍👍
Hey Ed, good to see you in the shop again. 👍
Very nice work sir
I need to do this with my rivet forge, it’s starting to get some holes in the bottom
صديقي مارأيك في اليهود الصهاينة وما يفعلونه في غزه...أما ما تعمله شيء جميل
He loves his job. It`s plain to see. Fine!
That's a lot of fun Ed - creating a sculpture out of bits and pieces like that is a gift. When I try it, it ends up looking like a bunch of bits and pieces.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله تعالى وبركاته بارك الله فيك أستاذ نتعلم منكم الكثير والمزيد من التألق ونجاح
Such great talent! I am always amazed.
No forge needs to be “ lined” .Your fire is in the fire pot. My all steel coke forge with coke fire pot has been in use for 20 years no lining. You only need to line a forge if it’s built from a combustible material. Stop lining your metal forges and you will have more room for your coke or coal. Think about it…..Fire in a Fire Pot not on the supporting metal. Forges are consumables even at that it will out live us by many years……Steve
The reason I lined this forge pan is because it was cast into the pan “clay forge before use”. I do appreciate your info on the subject, always learning.
Nice big and clean shop makes me jealous.
12 minutes in, and still waiting for him to get to the actual point.
Good job, but they will hate that new jack quickly. Too weak compared to that other one.
Good to see you posting again Ed.
Good job Ed.
I dunno Ed - cash is cash. It's kind of down to do you have the time - or will it take away from other things you are doing? Nice chuck to have - if you will enjoy fixing it and you have the time available go for it. If it's going to prevent you making money or doing something you'd rather do somewhere else - then pitch it. Or stick it in a box for when you do have time. 🙂 A fun look though Ed, thanks for sharing.
I have an old one on a drill press and it works perfect . I don't know where it's supposed to be a "cheap" chuck . Some of the best machinists in the world use them . They're around 500. now . Definitely not cheap . lol I took mine apart, cleaned it up and "oiled" it (you're not supposed to use thick grease) and didn't need special tools .
I bought that exact chuck 15 or 20 years ago because it was cheaper than a Jacobs. All I can say is there is a reason it cheaper than a Jacobs. It does not grip drill well, and if you gronk on it so it won't slip, then the body winds up and jams.
How many times you going to use the chuck? Does the use justify the cost?
I like your videos Ed, and I like seeing a tool brought back to good. The tool probably would work as you say, but it's good to see a little TLC applied. Unfortunate about the blade, but sometimes things go that way. Cheers!
Nice upgrade Ed - that certainly throws plenty of light around the work area. 👍👍
I like a bit of everything works. Variety is good - fabrication, welding, repair, machining - and everything else besides. 👍👍👍 Nice work with the plasma cutter.
Looks good. Nothing better than having some scrap that fits the bill.
Smart idea Ed - it's amazing how modifications like this make tools so much easier better to use.
What kind of welders do you use in your shop Ed
My welders, MIG is a 1986 Millermatic 200 with a Yeswelder 15 foot gun running .035 wire and C25 gas. TIG/Stick welder is a Miller Syncrowave 180 using pure argon for TIG welding.
Cool! You wear many hats for sure! L o l
Looks like it will work perfect! Can't wait to mount it!I think all the ice has melted now. And I think i'm ready to here shortly. Glad you got the dirt bike running.... Or am I😂 My kid doesn't need any more encouragement to do fast dangerous things l o l
Nice job! Had no doubt you would be able to fix that!
Nice shop there Ed, and nice work and that bird bath holder. Appreciate the look around!
Nice snow! I don't miss it.
Nice bit of turning there Ed. 👍
Such great talent! Love your videos! Keep them coming.
Nice trick there for making use of what’s on hand for organization. I like that! Inexpensive and effective is a winning combo.
Great tip. Thanks for sharing!
You're still a kid Ed. I spend more time trying to protect my back than doing stuff. Good idea, Good video, short and to the point. Sweet.
I can appreciate the desire to save on your back. Getting there nyself. Using TIG was interesting since most people don't have access to that method of welding. Also good use of scrap material.
I like that internal spring clip trick. Nice to see some turning!
plus the wood is a nice contrast, its just stunning.
Nice job! Great idea! 😊
