In this video I unbox, install on my pedal board and show you a little demo of the DSM Humboldt Simplifier Amp modeler. This is a great solutions for studio recording, quite practice or even plugging in to an amp or the house.

A short film about the challenges that the 2020 COVID quarantine brought into our lives and the good that it brought. The most important thing to remember is that all things can be made for the best when you have the love that only comes from Jesus. Shot and directed by myself. Score by myself.
PedalTrain JR and VPJR Tuner Set up
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.4 года назад
Here I unbox the Pedaltrain JR pedal board. I share a few thoughts about it as it comes out the box. I also show you some pedals on the board just if you were wondering the relative size of the pedal board. Very spacious by the way. Also, I talk a little bit about the Earnie Bal VPJR Tuner pedal which is awesome. Checkout the time-lapse of me setting up the board. Thanks for watching!
Carbon Fiber Stem from Ebay

Bought it for a Bianchi restoration project. I'm really liking it will install it soon. The finish on it is really nice and smooth plus the carbon fiber 3k weave pattern on the stem looks really nice. Definitely a good purchase at 13 bucks check out the link below. www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Aluminium-Mountain-Cycling-Bicycle-Stem-Road-Floding-Bike-Handlebar-17/222575256860?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:...

Dude I have no clue
i loveeeeeee this!!!!! im an assassin creed player so i allways did this move when for coming down the tower but i never did it on the closest hook place to the ground this feels like a leap pf faith move
This is awesome! Where did you find the midi mapping? I don’t see it on the manual.
There is no direct midi mapping. You kinda have to play around with it. The SUHR manual has a few toggles and others and they’re assigned with PC and/or CC numbers. But what you do is like a combination of the numbers on press and release.
Nice
Bro, you sound like Kelso 😂 cool video, subscribed to your channel 👍🏼
Can you send "tap" signals to set the tempo to the Eccos?
Yeah you can. You can even hold tap to let the feedback run away. You can also double tap bypass to activate select preset mode and use tap to scroll through the presets
@@balmoreruano2537 I mean tap-tempo signals so you can control the delay time from a DAW or another pedal.
Yes you can. You have to experiment with it but the way I do it is I set the press to send a CC message and the release to send another CC message. That then cycles the Micro MIDI to send the necessary tap signals so I can tap a tempo in. You should be able to do something similar with any controller/pedal/daw that can send CC or PC messages over MIDI 5 pin.
Grande Chile!!! 🇨🇱
Hey! Awesome video! What does putting the drives in the preamp do for the sound?
Even with the new Morningstar MC8 updates is there no way to control the Eccos with the Morningstar without the Sure midi box interface? Thanks!
I don't think so. I reached out to Morningstar before and they let me know that the MC8 omniports don't send out contact closure controls. Hardware wise I think they're only solution is this www.morningstar.io/relay-interface
Any 1 push preset controls? I'm trying to do a board with the eccos and hydra and want like 4 sounds but would like just the push 1 button per sound.
Title says Demo so I clicked for a demo. Maybe you could do another video demonstrating different settings with your rig for those looking to buy one. Seems like a really great device but not a lot of demo recordings.
Good idea!
Balmier I have so many questions !
Haha well shoot. I’ll try to answer them as best I can!
Great video! Can you also utilize midi for the FDBK button via the tap jack when use this midi interface? I currently have a triple aux switch to remotely control the Ecco’s and I’m interested in using my midi controller to fully replace it.
Hey! Had to test this out but yeah if I program a “tap button” on my MC8 I can press and hold it to get feedback. IF you are using presets on your ECCOS make sure your feed back volume is up. If it’s at zero then you won’t be able to get feedback regardless. Took me a long while to figure that out.
Hi, have a question : Where is the mono output to plug a cab? Free to use XLR or jack output in mono or stereo? :) thx
Hey! So there is a sum mono switch on the R 1/4” output, this includes the loop but not the power section of the Simplifier. So the idea is then your cabs power section will amplify this output. The L 1/4” out has a thru switch which bypasses the loop section and power section of the Simplifier. The XLRs only output either left or right past the power section of the Simplifier putting out a balanced signal. I don’t think there’s anyway to sum mono out of the Simplifier. You’d have to use a sum mono box to mix these. Hope that helps!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Do you still use the unit ? And curious of the headphone out sound quality if you can share. I’ve been looking at these a while and I’m looking for something that will sound good at edge of break up sounds.
Thanks! Yeah definitely still have it. Headphone quality is great. The volume is very powerful I use it just barely turned a few degrees from off. I mostly use the AC Brit setting and i can’t overdrive it a lot but I don’t have the hottest wound pickups either. If I boost it with my compressor I can get some very nice break up! Without out it I can still get just a little bit of dirt Which sounds very nice for my use. The marshal setting does give a lot more breakup!
Love this thing, thanks for talking about using it with an amp!
You got it! So as an update! You wanna use the sum mono option for one amp and L/R if you’re using two amps and you can only pretty much plug into the return side of an effects loop on you amp. As far as I know. Thanks for watching!
Sweetwater started selling these. That’s where I got mine. AND I LOVE IT!!
Oh nice just looked it up and they do have it now. They have another new one from them too. Something like a dual amp version of the simplifier. That looks cool too!
Thanks for your help! I have decide to order the pedal! The XLR cables where do you plug in? And do you use any interface?
You can plug directly into the mixer. Best to use an interface like the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
Hope you picked it up! I'm currently using a Behringer UMC1820. This video wasn't recorded with that but I'm hoping I can do a video with it soon. On my new board I have added a side panel with soldered XLD D style connectors.
Ordered the Simplifier too, can't wait till it arrives!
Oh yeah you’re gonna love it lots of use for it. I use it live every Sunday! Well worth it for any scenerio
Hi. What audio interface you use? Thanks.
Hello! Here I was using a Steinberg UR22
