When I used to drive nitro cars and trucks I swore by a temp gun but when I got good I noticed the temp doesn't give you a great tune it just keeps you in a certain parameter which is helpful for the new tuner. Once you get a feel on how much smoke you see and where your power band is at and how the engine sounds between full throttle and idle, it makes you a much better tuner and eventually you won't need the temp gun. Great video BTW!

Thanks for the video - Is it ok for the engine to have the glow plug glowing all the time during hover or gentle normal flying? (I'm not on Idle Up and just hovering around or doing figure 8's, the glow plug might be glowing constantly)

I want to add this is just one way to do it if your rebuilding and gears out why not. Also for those who dont know there's obviously a gen2 gear box and a gen2 upper frame with a extra hole making greasing easy. So if haven't gotten the gen 2 box and frame look Into it part number for gen frame should be H7NB016AXW

Piston and sleeve not clean carbon deposits cause severe heating

The gear chain noise is virtually non existent after the very first spool up they bed in and run like butter no need for grease as they say breaking a new motor does all this for you and the clutch grabs nice and low on the stick
