Nice rec! Trying to learn Thai and Ling looks pretty good. Thanks for the deal too :)
Ooh that’s so exciting! Yes, fortunately, Ling offers Thai, would love to hear how you enjoy it after starting! :)
Love the video, thanks for simplicity and speed! It hurts my hands to set up haha i cant wait to get used to it
Glad you enjoyed! I’m sure your hands will get used to it with time. Unfortunately, it’s definitely more of a process than the full light domes
i got a gan robot (v1) this xmas. had to buy a gan cube. i got the 356 i carry s. tried it with the robot it worked for a bit then started getting stuck and never worked again. ordered v2 claws and that didnt work either cause im stupid cause now i need a new gan cube XD what can i do to make my cube work with the robot v1 claws? or should i just get a cube that works with v2?
Hey, thanks for your comment! I’m really sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the GAN robot. Unfortunately, I’m not exactly an expert on the compatibility. I have the newer version class and know it works with the i3 and even the original 356 I. But I’m not entirely sure why the 356i carry s isn’t working. I know there used to be center caps you could get for allowing you to use regular non smart cubes. But I’m not entirely sure if that would fix the problem or not.
This was the exact problem I was having and thanks to your guide I was able to get it back to normal instead of spending another $100 for a new one and only spending 10 minutes to fix. Thank you!
Really glad to hear! No problem! Glad you were able to fix the problem!
Did you return your drone with battery in or not?
I didn’t return it with the battery since my battery was unharmed. You can return it with the battery if yours has issues though.
@jackofmanytrades thank you so much
Anytime! Just make sure when you fill the form for replacing your drone that you tell them that you also need a new battery and will be returning your existing battery if you need a new one. Otherwise you’ll get a drone without a battery.
With those blue bumpers avata flying wierd so that I took em off. And actually that might be a reason why you fell
The bumpers were not the problem. I’d suspect that if you were experiencing instability while flying with the bumpers, they your bumpers were not installed tightly. The bumpers I was using did not change the weight distribution or the flight characteristics at all. As another commenter pointed out, this is a problem with the Avata that was reported by many people and the software patch DJI implemented to attempt to fix this issue only works if you have enough height for the software to take away your control over the aircraft by kicking it into normal mode in a hover.
Wow this was so helpful. Question - for the 18mm wide lens camera, I want to put a 67mm lens over it, would I be looking for a 49mm to 67mm step up? Moment website says the diameter of the 18mm wide camera is 49mm,. The rubber protrusions seem critical....
So if you have the wide lens, you need to use the lens adapter kit and you would have to use the rubber adapter for the wide lens to adapt it to the 67 mm filter. If you don’t have the lens adapter kit, you won’t be able to use any filters whatsoever.
@@jackofmanytradesI ordered the adapter kit from Moment right away. What’s interesting (and annoying) to me is that Moment doesn’t specify or speak much to any of the rubber attachments. If you look at the image on their website, it shows the “step up” piece, but only 2 rubber attachments (and one of them is clearly squared for the anamorphic, etc) I ordered it and hoping this works
Yes, the square one is for the anamorphic. There are several circular pieces in the kit. So you will just have to use the largest rubber piece for the wide lens or the new versions of the telephoto. I agree. It’s a bit frustrating.
@ if you go their website and search “67mm Mobile Lens Filter Mount - All Series”, it shows only 2 rubber pieces, one is obviously square, and only 1 circular option….so not sure if that’s what you mean by the larger one (the circular is larger than the square) but as for circular ones, there’s one option
Oh they must have come out with a new version of the adapter. In the video, I was showing the original version which was a little pouch that had 3 or 4 rubber pieces you could swap in and out of a metal piece that adapted to 67 mm filter threads.
This is how a dashcam should come!! I purchased one from another brand (wont list it) but the package arrived in an unsealed box, not even a seal to show the box hadnt been opened. I am going to contact Amazon to return it as I get the feeling this was an open box or possibly used/returned item!
Wow, that sounds like an awful experience, sorry to hear your previous purchase was not as expected. Fortunately Amazon’s return policy is very good.
@@jackofmanytrades Thanks for the comment and I agree. I hate returning items but I should learn to buy things online rater than go to a store and buy the item directly and seeing it before going to the cash register.
Looks like a nice install, thanks for the video. I’m ordering one right now.
Sounds like a plan! Hope you have an easy installation!
Great video I have the first scribe and am holding out for the colour version hopefully not long to wait
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed the video. I hope not, especially since there are competitors who already have color e-ink products out.
Great video, even greater Wal-E shirt. 🎄🎄🎄🎄
Thanks! It’s a classic! 🎄
Would you recommend this for outdoor fashion photography. Something nature infused. Thank you
Absolutely, I did a shoot with a couple in a nature preserve with this, gave a great atmosphere and texture to the photo!
@jackofmanytrades do you have a social media. Thankyou
Yes, I do have Instagram. It’s @jackofmanytradesmedia. Though I also do a lot of work with eyesight studios. So you can check their Instagram too
@@jackofmanytrades yes noticed.. would you be able to publish a full video on a outdoor shoot with the smoke fogger 🔥
I’ll definitely keep it in mind. BTS videos can be a bit tricky. In the meantime though if you watch the intro to my recent video on the Toyota RAV4, I used the smoke machine outside and you can see the volume of smoke it can produce.
I was wondering, when you use the rs3 mini or the pro with an iPhone do you use the Dji mimo application or the ronin app, do any of those apps work while using the gimbal? How using the trigger can you stop and start recording, I wonder also if you connect the lighting cable to the phone then to the gimbal? Any ideas has anyone done this ? Thanks so much for the tutorial 😊
You’re welcome! Unfortunately since the gimbal is not intended for use with an iPhone (or any phone really), you will need to use the onscreen controls for the phone to start and stop recording. The Bluetooth protocol on the gimbal isn’t compatible with the phone. Same with a wired connection. That said, if you wanted to have wireless functions for start stop, I’d say, you could probably get a Bluetooth remote for starting recording on your iPhone. Maybe something like this: amzn.to/4gLqQqy
Your style is great for a Jazzmaster! I especially loved the clean, melodic stuff you were playing. You’ve gotten a great sound out of the rhythm circuit, which many people just ignore. I, too, just got lucky on a 2002 AVRI ‘62 Jazzmaster for $1,600 (plus shipping), and it arrives next week! I’m so psyched! They are still going for closer to 2,500.
Hey thanks so much for your kind comment! I really appreciate it and am super excited for you to get yours in the mail! That’s really exciting and I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time with yours once you get it! I definitely think the rhythm circuit is a pretty cool feature of the Jazzmaster. But you’re so right. Unfortunately, it’s a pretty under appreciated feature by must players.
is it very hard to dissamble?
Not at all. Disassembly is straightforward as long as you repeat the steps in reverse.
@jackofmanytrades thank you so much 🙏🏻
Hasn't this been out all year? I would expect people are reviewing the 2025
If people are working directly with companies. Sure. I bought this with my own money very recently though. So it’s meant to be a reference for those with the car or looking at options.
Very in depth video, looks like a very nice vehicle, I’d definitely consider buying one. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, it’s definitely a solid option for people who like smaller SUVs. Glad you liked the video!
Thanks for this video. Is ther a option to control the iphone with the gimbal? The native filming app or the Blackmagic app? Thanks a lot.
Hey! Glad you liked the video! Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to control the phone with the gimbal since the gimbal is only set up to see other cameras- not phones. I think the only way you could get it to work is if someone makes a Bluetooth shutter button for the iPhone that can be stuck on the side of the gimbal or something
Thanks for posting this, it worked great
Glad it helped!
Worked! A BIG thank you brother
You’re welcome! Glad it was helpful for you!!
What’s the volts and amperage for the power adapter
18V 2.5 A
@ thank you. I need a new adapter
Keep in mind that I’m a cook, not a photo/videograoher. I have purchased this prompter for use with my channel. I have an issue that I can’t seem to figure out. I have placed my ZVE10 all over the camera “shelf”…meaning as far forward and rearward as possible and I have tilted the prompter screen as far back and forth as possible (and still be useable) and I still get the iPad clamp tips in my view when the camera is not zoomed in at all. Advice? Yes, I can zoom in a bit and get passed them, but should I have to? Thanks for any help! And thanks for a great informative video!
Hey, sorry to hear you’ve been having such an issue. It depends, I think, a lot on the focal range of your lens. If you’re using a 16-28 mm or something like that that is very wide. That may be one of the problems. Another possible problem is perhaps the camera shelf is sitting too far back on the track. If you move the entire thing forward and secure it in a different hole, that may help you as well.
Great review and easy set up 👍
Thanks! Glad you found the video helpful!
Concise and informative. Thank you!
Anytime! Glad you found the video helpful!
20 packets of fags is over 200 pounds . Maybe my 47 year old education is out of date , living in Blackpool I see this twice three times a week .. no police
I'm very easily distracted and agree with your comments. I've had the scribe for a while now, took a little while to grow into it but appreciate its virtues. I also have a late model paperwhite which goes virtually everywhere with me. I not only read on that but listen to audiobooks - the battery lasting much longer than my phone. Enjoyed you vid.🙃
Really glad to hear you’ve been enjoying your scribe! I definitely agree with you, it’s a device that forces you to slow down and focus. It can definitely be hard to do with other more capable products.
Until they optimize Nebula OS, I have to say no. I have the Air Pro 2, Beam, and Beam Pro, and this doesn't even replace my Meta 3.
Awesome video, I love the drone shots too, Hawaii is really beautiful.
Thanks! Yeah, it was such a cool place, incredible views everywhere you look

Hi! I see, you have a quick release plate on your Sony A7Rv, ( FALCAM ) Is this the same plate which goes on Sony A7c? Or it’s different one? Because I tried to find one of these and it’s only for Sony A7c on ULANZI website! Let me know we’re can I get it?! Thanks!!
Hi! Yes, so I have a FALCAM cage for my A7RV. But it was actually made for the A7RIV. If you’re looking at the A7c cage, do not buy it for an A7RV. The A7c is much shorter and it will not fit!
@@jackofmanytrades I checked on website ULANZI, I didn’t find it! I will look again! Thanks!
@@jackofmanytrades It’s strange, but I don’t see it! Thanks anyway!
They may have sold out actually. I think it was an old product 😕
@@jackofmanytrades I think so too!
Great video! Thanks!
You’re welcome! Glad you found it helpful!
so the included script scrolling software is for talent self-control only. Can a off-camera producer control scroll?
An off camera producer could, of course. Since it’s remote controlled, whoever has the controller can control the speed and scrolling as well as the text size.
@@jackofmanytrades My apologies I was not clear. Can producer view text and read along with talent?
Oh that’s a good question, I’m going to say no unless you airplay the iPad display to another display while you’re using it.
Thanks, this is very VERY helpful
With a RAW workflow, is it still necessary to use CINE mode to change exposure distribution? MXF can be adjusted for exposure all the time in davinci
So the major thing to keep in mind is. The MXF method is NOT RAW. It allows non-RAW clips to behave as RAW. The other thing is that you must use Cine EI. If you don’t, you’ll not be able to convert the clips to the MXF files. Hopefully this clears things up a bit for you.
I just bought the scribe as the bundled price was less than the stand-a-lone scribe. Having never had a kindle, always a kindle fire, I was actually disappointed with it and was all set to return it. However, it's been a few weeks now and I have decided to keep it. Long story short, I live on an island and we recently lost power due to a hurricane. The Scribe performed admirably - with long battery life and the backlit light, no electricity was needed to use my device. Once you realise what this device is designed for, it tends to grow on you!
I really am so glad you enjoyed the device! That’s good to hear. It’s definitely a purpose built device.
Are the GVM 1000D much better?
I’m not really sure. I don’t have those panel lights. I will say that they seem similar so I wouldn’t necessarily think that they would be dramatically different.
You saved me, thanks.
Anytime bro, I’m glad the video helped you!
Do we get $ 311 back ?
They put the temporary charge on your account for the full amount but they’ll remove that charge once they get the drone you send back. Sometimes they might even remove it once you put your drone in the mail.
For me it's not a backpack functionality review but rather show of your equipment... How to carry a tripod? Does this backpack has any rain cover? Nothing about extension of the capacity...
I mean a backpack that can hold a lot of equipment is the entire purpose of getting a bag like this. A professional tripod will never fit in a bag so I’m not exactly sure what you mean here. If you’re thinking of a travel tripod, you can fit one in the side pocket with a strap. It has a rain cover in the front pocket. I’m also pretty sure I showed off the expansion of the front part where gimbals go.
Have you used both of the pens?
No. But they’re identical other than that the premium pen has the back eraser I believe.
I would like to use the Kindle scribe for my choir music. And I need to make annotations on each page. if I make annotations, are they automatically saved? Do you feel like it would work well for this?
So if you import the sheets as PDF documents, you can absolutely mark them up all you want. They’ll also save to the device automatically so no need to worry about losing them. It should work pretty well for the purposes you’ve described.
I'm thinking about buying one. Would this be good for gaming/work? I would be keeping it in my backpack for travel a lot
Only you can make that call. I’d say, the blade can definitely do both. But it’s a gaming laptop at the end of the day with really high spec hardware so battery life will suffer. You also have to account for the power brick everywhere you go. Since it’s not USB C, you cannot just leave it at home to take a more compact option.
Your description of why a Kindle fits into a highly interrupt-driven lifestyle, provides focus-enhancing distance, supports intentionality, along with your thoughts on the ergonomics is excellent. Thank you for putting this video together. I have no idea what else you talk about, but will subscribe and find out. The smoke is interesting and I appreciate it as an exploration of the craft of video.
Thanks for your very thoughtfully crafted comment! I am glad you enjoyed the video! I make content on lots of different topics but unfortunately haven’t been as active recently because of work. But I appreciate the sub!
The quad cortex update really provides a ton of customization and flexibility. Thanks for the video. I can’t wait to use it.
Yeah, it’s really exciting that PCOM isn’t the only new feature coming into the QC! I think people will really enjoy this update. I’m also really excited to see more plugins make their way to QC.
@@jackofmanytrades most definitely 🫵🏻
i have unlimited finances..it's called my credit card
lol be careful with OPM.
Have to say starting the video comparing the A7RV against an A9III, don't think anyone is cross shopping these two. Completely different uses, worlds apart.
I personally know several people cross-shopping these two. I agree, they are two very different cameras in many ways. But they are both cameras that can be used as hybrids.
Have you ever powered the Quad Cortex with this?
Yes! I’ve done that before a few times!
So how long does the mix work when you fill up the reservoir of this Machine? How long until it's empty on a continuous use scenario?
Good question, that depends on a lot of factors. If you have everything on maximum, it can last probably between 8 and 10 mins. I have never had to use it continuously for longer than a minute though. So I’m not sure.
Neewer brand is disappointing, I got me a softbox, it’s ripped after second use
That’s really unfortunate, I haven’t had any issue like that with these. But I can say, they’re a very budget brand where quality is definitely not at the core
What would you recommend for RGB light for background scenes? Thanks
