I am a national board-certified diabetes nurse practitioner with a Ph.D in my field. Diabetes runs in my blood and has affected many in my family for generations. That is why I have dedicated more than two decades of my life and career to helping patients and loved ones live healthier lifestyles by eating more plants.
My focus is not what medications you should take - that's a conversation with your healthcare provider who knows your health intimately --just like my patients have with me privately. On this channel, we tackle an essential part of living well with diabetes - what we eat. Plant-based eating has been shown to improve diabetes, heart disease, cancer and more. People who eat more plants live longer, have better quality of life and have less diseases.
