Gaiero Mod D No More Lonely Nights McCartney Cover
I've been back to working night shifts at work for the first time in many years and early in my marriage I used to sing this song jokingly to my wife when I worked them. I thought I'd post it because the guitar is sounding incredible. It has a much better voice than I do!

Roy McAlister Jumbo Cedar and Indian Rosewood
Просмотров 17721 день назад
This one is a 2001 McAlister David Crosby Signature model Jumbo. Roy's jumbo's were a bit smaller than 17" wide but still had nice larger feel, this one is incredibly versatile for a larger body guitar with a very fast and intimate response for fingerstyle playing but yet a big full put together chord sound for strumming and flat picking. Really special guitar!!

This beautiful guitar is a brand new 2024 Gaiero Mod D, it's the first Mod D that Mark made under the Gaiero brand. He had made several Somogyi Mod D guitars while doing his apprenticeship with Ervin. This one is very old Carpathian Spruce over Ziricote. The guitar is one of the best fingerstyle guitars I've ever played! Its just amazingly responsive and powerful with very thick and rich tone.

Martin CS21-11 and CS35-11 compared with each other. CS35-11 has GE Forward Shifted 1/4" bracing and the CS21-11 has the rear shifted scalloped bracing like guitars built from 39-43. 35 has Carpathian Spruce and the 21 has Red Spruce, both have Madagascar Rosewood for the back and sides. Both guitars were constructed with Hide Glue Bracing.

I would have been happy with this guitar had I paid 3 times the money for it that it cost, its a really spectacular model and I highly recommend one to others if you are looking for a very versatile do it all kind of guitar that is super easy to play!

I have a 2016 D-28 Marquis that is really an incredible guitar, I know that the guitar your playing has different appointments and Madagascar B/S but other than that it's built pretty much as a D-28 Marquis. Do you think there is a distinctive tone difference and what those differences would be? I appreciate any info you could offer. Thank You Bobby. P.S. You sure do show case some very beautiful guitars.

Bobby as always your playing is fabulous. I have a 2015 D-28 Marquis and to my ears the marquis is the best sounding version that Martin has made. I don't care for the tone of the Authentic's, to me they sound muted, I know people have not like that description and say the tone is warm. You have show cased SO many beautiful sounding guitars. There are three variations that I haven't had the pleasure to play and wonder if you have any experience with them 1) D-28 GE, 2) America's guitar 175th anniversary D-28, D-28 Marquis "Madagascar" If so, I would love to hear your input as to their tone. Thank you for your time Bobby.

Bobby, I've listened to both this and your 14 fret Goodall dread videos. It sounds like mic placement might be a bit different so it's a bit challenging to evaluate. Both sound wonderful. I own a Goodall, cedar on maple GC. Incredible guitar. What I love about mine is it is crisp, clear and the top, like all of James' tops, is incredibly responsive. I am playing Celtic music these days, and play very percussively. If it is helpful, I have a Santa Cruz H13, cedar on mahogany, a Lowden F35, redwood on Tasmanian Blackwood and a Huss & Dalton, custom CM12 (baby dread 12 fret) sinker redwood on walnut. I am thinking I could lighten my load by trading the Lowden and the Huss for the Goodall dread. The two I play out with are the Goodall and the SCGC. The Goodall for rousing Celtic or piano/guitar and the SCGC with harp and softer music. Back to the dreads, in your opinion which do you like more and why? Which do you think might be a better choice for me? I know that's a lot of info, but you have more experience with different guitars. Thanks in advance. I'd appreciate you insight.

Such a nice guitar, and even if it's supposed to be a for-sale demo, it's still some nice acoustic guitar playing. I forget if these were deeper bodied, or if they just had zero taper down to the upper bout. Also- a very good point you made- a re-make of a guitar that was made 30 years earlier in the 1930's, which is now 30 years old. And- a most reasonable asking price for a very cool guitar.

I was wondering if you have ever compared Tony Rice model with Cocobolo back and sides to a Brazilian model, this one sounds absolutely amazing! Love that deep bass, man. These seem to be going for a lot more money than the models made out of the other woods, EIR, and Cocobolo, but basically the same guitar? Huge price difference for Brazilian over EIR... Also seems like the 89 is way better than some of the newer models you have demo'd but you weren't in that tile kitchen area either which might make a huge difference! Sounds awesome, I would be interested in this one if it was put up for sale, I bet a lot of people would! Hard to find the good ones online but they have to be out there. I can't fly all over the country just to try out guitars so I really appreciate your video's even if the Brazilian Pro models are a bit out of my price range! I have some other guitars I could sell to just get one really good one, that's what I have been thinking about for quite some time now, sell all the clunkers and just get one Hoss like this one here!
