Was on that trail just yesterday. San Jacinto is a magical place.

I did that climb out of Marion couple year’s back. It’s a 4000 foot gain to Little Round Valley, so you did 5000 in a day to the peak, which is impressive. We camped at Little Round Valley, bagged the peak with day packs the next morning, then hiked down to Strawberry Junction and camped there. Came out at Deer Springs, so it was a nice 2 nighter loop. Luv your videos. Try Southridge over Tahquitz Fire Lookout to Little Tahquitz Valley off the PCT sometime. There’s a nice campsite off Southridge in the flats with killer sunset views about 3/4 of the way up, and the creek in Little Tahquitz Valley is usually reliable well into late summer. Nice forest camping there usually visited by critters during the night 😂 Keep on traveling!

Made this hike when the snow was super deep. Was training for Whitney. So fun to see your video and see what it is like without tons of snow. The top third of the mountain--snow was so deep that I could not find the switchbacks and just went straight up. This is actually one of my goals to work up to doing this and actually be able to sleep, haha. Face them fears n such. Im super sketched by the dark hours, my eyes play tricks on me in the dark so bad, so i prefer the mental safety net of the paper thin tent walls. HOWEVER, someone i camped with once just set up their bed and crawled in and passed out and i was so envious lol. Made the tent seem almost silly!
