      😂 You’re not wrong, Laimbeer played basketball like it was WWE on hardwood. If Draymond tried to trash-talk him, Laimbeer might’ve just handed him a folding chair mid-game. It’s wild how his physicality set the tone for the Bad Boys era. And yeah, even Rodman probably thought, ‘This guy’s too much.’ Laimbeer might not have had the finesse of today’s players, but he made sure no one ever left the paint without a bruise! LOL😂

      Fair point! The 'Bad Boys' Detroit Pistons were absolutely a huge part of NBA history, especially when it comes to Michael Jordan's rise to greatness. They were the ultimate roadblock for MJ during the late '80s, and their dominance played a significant role in shaping the competitive fire that fueled his dynasty. Without the Pistons, we might never have seen Jordan evolve into the unstoppable force he became in the '90s. Thanks for the feedback

    simple no...the 3headed monster was rather Laker,Celtics,Pistons (they were sweeping bulls in 80s, bulls never reached finals, neither conference finals with regular standings around 40-40, 50-30, 37-40+..)...while Pistons were 2x champs😂😅

    • @FIRST5HOOPS
      @FIRST5HOOPS 3 дня назад

      You’re right, the Pistons were a crucial part of that '80s landscape alongside the Lakers and Celtics. Their back-to-back championships and 'Jordan Rules' defensive scheme made them one of the most feared teams in history. The Bulls’ struggles against them in the late '80s were part of the reason MJ became so dominant in the '90s. It’s incredible how those early battles shaped his career and mindset. Appreciate the correction, it’s fans like you who keep the history alive and accurate! Would love to hear more about your favorite Bad Boys moment. This comment has me in tears 😂. Jordan and Kobe’s play styles were so similar it’s like MJ handed him the GOAT blueprint and said, ‘Here, take over.’ And putting Bird in your Top 3? Respect for the old-school legend. As for LeBron… you’ve got him making history on a different court altogether! 😂 But seriously, the MJ-Kobe comparison always gives chills, two legends cut from the same cloth. Thanks for keeping the basketball discussions fun and wild!

    I doubt Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, & Kareem Abdul Jabbar can crush the brutal Piston at that era. That's why I think MJ is greater than them. Bulls stop Piston for almost a decade, combined with Olajuwon & Tim Duncan.

    • @FIRST5HOOPS
      @FIRST5HOOPS 6 дней назад

      That's an interesting take! The Pistons of that era were a defensive juggernaut, and their physical, borderline brutal style, the "Bad Boys" approach, wasn't just about talent but a mental and physical grind. MJ's ability to overcome them, especially after years of heartbreak, speaks volumes about his greatness and resilience. While Wilt, Kobe, Kareem, Olajuwon, and Duncan were all generational talents with unique skills, MJ’s mental toughness and adaptability in that brutal Pistons era stand out. He didn’t just beat them, he dismantled their dynasty and changed the game. What’s your favorite MJ vs. Pistons moment? 💪🔥

    Jordan was great but I would say Wilt Chamberlin was the greatest of all time. He played in an area that changed rules on dunking to make it harder to dunk and then the NBA changed the rules in making it easier for Jordan to dunk. Wilt all-time leader in rebounds over 23k rebounds; Wilt scored over 31k points in 13 years played 12 games one year, in one season scored over 4k points and had over 2k in rebounds averaged 50 points a game. No player has ever come close to that.

    • @FIRST5HOOPS

      No doubt Wilt’s stats are legendary, 23K rebounds? That’s superhuman. But basketball greatness isn’t just numbers, it’s dominance across eras. Wilt was incredible in his time, but MJ transcended basketball into a global phenomenon. Wilt ruled the paint, but MJ owned the league, the fans, and the culture. Both are greats, but in different ways!

      @@FIRST5HOOPS You don't understand basketball back then was the start of the NBA and they NBA changed the rules because of Wilt and made it harder for Wilt to score/dunk, the NBA in Jordan's era was more glamourous and the NBA changed the rules to make it easier for Jordan to Dunk.

      @@JohnnyBGood11 Thank you for sharing your perspective! Wilt Chamberlain’s era truly showcased a level of dominance that forced the NBA to adjust its rules, a testament to his incredible talent. Similarly, Michael Jordan played in a transformative era where the league's popularity skyrocketed, and his skillset brought a unique kind of excitement to the game. While the NBA's rules and style evolved over time, both Wilt and MJ were products of their respective eras and left legacies that shaped basketball history.

      @@JohnnyBGood11 You bring up a fascinating point about how the game evolved! Wilt Chamberlain’s dominance definitely led to changes that reshaped the league, like offensive goaltending and the widening of the lane. By the time MJ came around, the league had shifted to a more guard-friendly, fast-paced game that highlighted athleticism and skill. Still, Jordan thrived under intense defensive rules, especially during the physical ’80s and early ’90s. It’s amazing to think how each era had unique challenges for its stars.
