    Nice! I love roti canai and, though I don’t have a griddle, would love to learn how to make roti canai from scratch, and especially learn the up-down hand flip technique. The roti with curry dip sauce was our go-to appetizer during our visits to Singapore, and when having a meal at a Singaporean or Malaysian restaurant here in the US, plus I use the Singaporean Spring Home brand roti canai at home sometimes when I make Burmese curries. I have had the roti with sugar and condensed milk while in Thailand, and plan on having it during an upcoming solo visit to Laos in the fall. Cheers!

    I am from a family of 11 in western Michigan. At 10 years old I went to the movies for the first time and to my great delight, I realized that not all popcorn tasted like bacon. At the back of our stove was the obligatory can of crisco that now held bacon fat and lard. Crisco was kept for special occasions. Never met you Mrs. Chase, but I think you would have appreciated my mom.

    It also doesn't lose it's nutritional content after cooking. The thicker/brown seaweeds also contain more minerals than meat. I was surprised to learn it has as much protein as chicken. I think an ideal way to sell more is pack it into a bar form that tastes good like Rebar (fruit and veggie bar) but keep it inexpensive so people can transition. The markets usually charge a lot for a small bag $5-8 which should ideally be less.. it's almost as if they don't want people to by it.

    That butter thing? Brings back a wonderful memory. We lined up, a friend and I....years ago, for a free food give away day, at a housing project. It was a one time give out, and we showed them my SS# card. Walked away with a huge block of excellent Cheddar cheese, a similar sized bar of the type of butter Ms. Chase is speaking about..and some other things. But I CLEARLY remember that butter..and this was 1985?? Mercy!!

    Not a great place to work. I hate it when they try to sucker you in thinking that the job is great but it's not until you see the kitchen. The dishwashing staff do take short cuts in order to clean the dishes which is disguisting and cross contaimination, barely less hot but warm water. The servers don't bring up the dishes as soon they finish picking up after tables and bus pans piling up. The dishwashing machine itself is very old and should be replaced. The worst part is that the kichen is very small and cramp. That's why they hire dishwashers and managers from time to time. On the brighter side, they treat their staff great and the food is good.
