Gone Fishin’ USA
США
Добавлен 21 июн 2020
Hop aboard with The Gone Fishin’ crew while we document our fishing adventures offshore and inland waters. We regularly fish the Mid Atlantic canyons for tuna and other pelagic species of fish. We use various methods of fishing to include trolling, chunking, deep drop, jigging and poppers. We plan to showcase our methods and gear in a variety of how to videos to help prepare you to catch a fish of a lifetime. We will also showcase charter captains and fisheries around the United States. Thanks for checking us out!

Gone Fishing' USA is headed out fishing with Captain Jimmy from Jimmy Counts Outdoors to do some bass fishing on his Nitro Z9 Bass boat. The conditions offshore were not looking favorable so we decided to do some fresh water fishing. Every day we battled severe weather and had to run to the ramp to avoid getting wet. Based out of Columbia South Carolina we spend three days fishing three differe...

Knots are everything. If you can’t tie it’ll show.
Stupid fishing days are too few and far between <•((((><
Dam your friend sucks
No rod recommendations?
Too much fucking intro
Nicely done
The grocery stores dont sell mako anymore. Its loaded with mercury and our shark population is endangered.
MAKO shark is full of mercury. Our shark population is in trouble because of this dumb ass.
This is why theres no Tuna left in the Ocean.
How far out are y’all?
Very nice. But they can see the copper. Need more stealth. You’ll get it
George is the fish man!
How much did it weigh?
No idea we didn’t weigh it
Nice
Great vid mate! Although im never gonna see a real tuna I still wanted to know this information😅
Have you ever tried to change the meters to feet?
Google Coastal Fisheries Training & enter On Board Handling of Sashimi Grade Tuna which breaks down precise industry standards for 1 landing 2 killing 3 bleeding 4 gilling/gutting 5 chilling/storing. Excellent resource.
I recommend doing this while it’s alive so the heart pumps the blood
200lbs hahahahaha
Palomar knot has lower breaking strength and starts to slip after 30lb test; Sd knot for 30lb test and above
Not catching a giant on 80lb line or those little reels. Still great vid!
Damn this fishing requires dedication. And Mako steaks are damn delicious.
And loaded with deadly mercury.
Would Love the opportunity to inspire others and share the passion! Meet us here in the Port of Canaveral Florida and take a journey with us down the coast and over to the Bahamas! We’re just getting started. Aloha
I would love to come out and film you guys. Shoot me an email deepwaterlegends@gmail.com and we can brainstorm some Ideas Tight lines
Niceee
Thanks for watching
Amazing
What rods you recommend for chunking tuna?
Nice vid!!
Great job, hoping to pot hop this weekend for them, then troll for them or bluefin if not productive (mudhole to littl itl)
Good luck!
@@Gonefishinnj We tried. Nothing was on the pots that we could see or on the sidescan, downview and the wind picked up. I will try again.
Gotta say your ABC’s “always be chunking” -Jamie Lytle
Thank you for absolutely ZERO fishing footage….
Awesome video!!! What size spinning reel is good for Mahi?
Also I just subscribed to u
Thanks for the subscribe! Depends what size mahi your targeting. One of my rain favorites is a 3000 nasci from shimano with 10# braid.
As the fish get bigger you can’t go wrong with a 6000 series reel with 30# braid
That phone call beat him up 😂😂😂😂 nice vid !
Yessir, Stan💪
Thanks for watching!
Nice content
Thanks for checking us out!
Where’s this, up north?
Yes about 70 off NJ
@@Gonefishinnj hoping it was down here near Charleston haha! Sick video and catches man!
Love the content, keep it up, show the fish out of water next time though!
Thanks for the kind words. We have a longer video showing our trip coming out in the next day or 2. Shorts are limited to 15 seconds. Tight lines and thanks for watching!

My favorite saltwater fish. Glad I got mine down in FL. Subscribed !
How big was your fish? Thanks for checking us out, we are pumped to have you onboard!
Lol! I saw the title and started singing the song, and then clicked and was pleasantly surprised. Nice catch!
Thanks for watching! That song is a classic and matched the catch perfectly.
Nice Catch!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video 🎣
Thanks for watching! Tight lines 🤙
Nice mahi-mahi
Thank you for watching! We got into a few nice size ones in the last 2 weeks down here in SC.
How much fuel are you wasting waiting for a fish.
As much as it takes! That’s the name Of the game with offshore fishing, especially day time sword fishing
If you ain't burning fuel, you ain't fishin.
On clear days the drail will turn the fish off. Try covering it with a big octopus skirt.
Yay love your music
Thank you!
Use a medical skin stapler instead of the wire!
Thanks for the insight. Can you tell me more about it? I’m not familiar with that method but certainly willing to try anything to improve our odds!
@5:51 I really thought you were going to store the shark in there!!!!
We have a huge fish bag we store large fish in, keeps them cold
@@Gonefishinnj such a shame fishing for them even after they are endangered
@@Gonefishinnj please don’t cook my favorite sea animal
Great videos Capt Stan. Just purchased the same boat and can't wait to get her fishing off Cape May this summer (newbie to offshore fishing). Really cool to see what she is capable of in your videos. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see more.
That’s great! She is a capable machine that was modified extensively for fishing. Tight lines capt!
How is it reeling the swivel through the guides? I would imagine with a fish on that could be kinda sketchy? Also doesn't that mess up the ring guides? Just curious.
We use the wind on swivels. They aren’t supposed to go through ring guides only wind on roller guides. Many people like the standard ball bearing swivels better and say they have had these break going through guides or crotch break. I personally never have had that issue. I like to rig longer leaders then be able to wind them directly onto the reel to eliminate the need for a extra guy on the leader if you have multiple hookups. Also think the longer leader helps get bites or if you need to grab the leader you have more to grab. If your fishing for giants or something that is really going to tax your equiptment then may want to opt for the standard ball bearing swivels. I believe the 300pound swivels are what the big giant fisherman use something about the wire on the smaller sized swivel cutting through the line.
