Farmland Protection Options with OFT
Many farmers are concerned about the future of their land once they pass. Will it stay in agriculture and continue providing food, fuel, and fiber to the community? Will the forests and wetlands continue to provide habitat for local and migrating wildlife?
This session explores options for protecting farmland with OFT, covering land donations and conservation easement agreements. Working with a land trust offers a number of options to ensure the land you have carefully stewarded stays in agriculture for generations to come while continuing to benefit the environment.
