I absolutely love gargoyles! I got 3 pair of the ansi classics exactly like Dale Earnhardt's with the mirrored lens. The recent 3rd one I bought recently are brand new never worn from the 80s with the brown mirrored lens with 22k gold plated and still has the sticker on the lens still. Also have 2 legacy models like Dale's that he wore the final 2 years of his life. Both fit amazing and are very comfortable.

They look brown right?
The actual color of the lenses are labeled as lunar grey. They are greyish greenish. You can see the box through the lenses and because of lightning they kinda look brown yes.

Can you elaborate on 1st generation and 2nd generation Gargoyles sunglasses? I bought mine in '89 and then other pair in 91. The one from 91 broke, so I have recently bought one with pink arms and nosebridge, But I replacednose bridge from the broken one. Also I replace one arm,unfortunately the pink arm on the left could not remove the bolt soI painted it Black instead. The Pink one I purchased fr 81 dollar on ebay, but then you get shipping and taxes I ended up 127 euro's. Sux.
Hey I feel you with the taxes and the total price. I think that you can replace the arms temples of the sunglasses and the nose piece too. Unfortunately the nose piece from the first gen is just one plastic piece. Not like the 2th gen a 2 piece type of nosepiece. I have seen a lot of gargoyles subglasses with changed arm temples and and nosepieces. Almost like Frankenstein 😄. The first gen gargoyles are also 15% bigger on the lenses as far as I know.
@@coldzombie8025 I could replace one arm temple the other one not because the screw cannot be loosened ,so I sprayed the pink one into black. Well nose pieces are 2 part so I guess it's 2nd generation.The funny thing is that when I bought them 29 years ago they were fashionable and now back into fashion again.Not that I care more about fashion,but they are stylish. Also block the sun very well. thx for the feedback.

I got this mask as a blank from Martin pena back when he was in possession of the molds. He later sold the molds to Rick ramby. I don’t know if rick offers diy blanks as well.

SSMARO376 The diy and the h2sm are both from mcs. But they are not the same.
The diy and h2sm come from the hmk mold but had different retools. The h2sm was retooled in the nose and the diy was retooled in the jaw
I how they compare to ansi 85 or the classics for gargoyle.
