West 64th Place , close to Whitehead Road has history alongside the Broad Ripple and Central Canal and places north of the White River. My family moved to Indianapolis and began to work the Dairy Enterprise. We have had a pasture on Westfield and 75th. I think reading the Cadastral Maps for the 19th Century gives a good idea of how this place has prospered from the White River. I think Cline's Sawmill was at 64th Place. Wellington is very much back in the 19th Century. Coming North from Indianapolis to the town's along White River was a river excursion. Finch, Landers, Holcomb, Wick, Conner, and how about Cline,... and Whitehead,.... Lieber, Hoover and Patterson, heading to Noblesville and Anderson.

I've read that Premier Manufacturing Co. was building a great manufacturing address at 20th and Central. Here at my neighborhood, North Michigan State Road and 5700 North, there was a Premier Mfg. Building, building a cube van,...both having the same Nameplate: Premier Manufacturing Co.

I would almost guess that the problem of cows and pigs will have some sensibility with Pleasant Run and Pleasant Run Parkway. My family have Dairy Ownership and Herd Growth personal experiences and histories. Boesen Dairy, Broad Ripple, up on Westfield have notes in the Indianapolis Paper, 1910, 1921. I'm thinking though, about Polk's, ... which was Eastside,... Brightwood, I think.

I look to see the Cadastral Maps for Marion County, Washington Township especially and the one aspect I see,... I see Irvington at the East of Indianapolis and Broad Ripple to the North. Nora was a Post Office. Eck was a Blacksmith on a Railway Line. Don't forget too, Indianapolis, Indiana was the location of the Parry Carriage, located at the White River on the East Banks.

I'm a Lifelong Hoosier and a resident of this Northolm Addition now of seventy years. Northolm Addition is constructed west of Broad Ripple and is situated on the Michigan State Road. This Addition to the City of Indianapolis began 1919 and was a neighborhood of dwelling residence and a close proximity to Church and Merchants. This house had coal furnace, 60 amp electric service, was serviced by the T. H. I. E. Northolm Addition seems to be a rendering from the Historical Premises which follow the settlement of Indianapolis, Indiana. Close by,... the Canal and Butler University and interesting to me,.. the Indianapolis Amateur Astronomer's Association. It's interesting to me to see that the Astronomy Study and the Sales Office were in the Merchant's Bank Building, downtown on Washington Street and Meridian Street.

This is a beautiful instrument, indeed, However the next time you decide to play it, PLEASE BE SURE TO USE THE SHUT OFF, OR STOP LEVER, so that the tune shuts off automatically after the disk has finished playing. If you fail to do this, you will risk doing damage to the steel "combs," Also, wind the crank up fully so the disk turns at the proper rate. You have a very beautiful and expensive antique, here and VERY costly to repair, I might add. If you don't know how to properly operate this lovely instrument, for heaven's sake, get someone to instruct you how to do so. I am not a collector, myself. I just happen to love these masterpieces from the past and cannot remain silent if I see something that is being done incorrectly. Consult with any experienced restorer of these antiques and they will tell you exactly what I have here. I'm not scolding you, dear, just speaking up for the music box!

The history of that area but The Iron Skillet Restaurant used to house civil war soldiers and coffin yep house runaway slaves. I heard. Someone owned a big part of that property plus there was a park of some sort also around there off 30th & Cold Springs Rd . But also that amusement park was around Riverside park or in it maybe a water park. And also where I heard there was a beach where apartments sit before the highway.West Lake Apartments if there's any photos I'd love to see em.

I grew up in Woodruff Place and graduated from Tech H.S. I have done some research about Woodruff Place but nothing like what you’ve done. It was like going back in time to when I was a kid. I love anything historical of the 1800’s-1900’s. I have some photos from then. I’ll go through them to see what all I have. I subscribed to your channel.
