Should I practice WAT as I heard one should not practice psych tests??
Yes ofcourse you should practice, this way you'll be training your brain to produce thoughts in time which will help you in psych tests which is an extensive process and after writing so many stories and brainstorming many ideas it's natural that you may end up feeling exhausted from all that work, hence SWEAT MORE IN TRAINING TO BLEED LESS IN WAR. Keep practicing!!!
From the given picture ,I have perceived 4 characters, all male, mood positive ,age group 18-20.The action of the story is removing the fallen tree from the bridge.Arpit, age -19,is the main character of the story. He was returning home with his friends after playing volleyball with his friends. On his way back home ,he saw that a tree has fallen on the ground due to the storm the same afternoon. He signalled his friends coming behind him to stop . He told them that they should remove the tree from the road. All of them gave a hand and successfully removed the tree from the road .they all went their homes later on.
Reply pls
Appreciate your efforts! Here are a few points to focus on: 1) PPDT is about perception; the picture doesn’t clearly show a tree on a bridge. Avoid forcing a story that might not fit. 2) If using this theme, add specific actions like how the group removed the tree, cleared the road, and managed traffic. 3) Revisit the picture, list all possible themes, and choose the most suitable one. Share your updated story, and I’ll be happy to help further!
Raju a 16 year old boy. After the sslc board exam he was planned to go for a trip through the beautiful rural areas in kerala. So he sharwd this mesaage to students group. Some of the students are intrestes in this trip. They choosed cycle for their trip and they packed nessesary food items for 2 days. They started journey from the rural areas of alappuzha. They were enjoyed the trip by looking the beauty of nature.
I appreciate your efforts, focus on these areas to improve your story: 1) I noticed some grammatical mistakes so focus in this area and try making some small and easy sentences with correct grammar. 2) Since your aim is to go on a trip, add some more apt actions for the same. I have a video on how to write story for PPDT, take a reference from it and make amendments.
Thank you for sharing such a valuable and insightful video! Your guidance and teaching style make even the most complex topics easy to understand. Truly grateful for your efforts!
Glad this initiative is helping you!! Keep practicing.
Ram a 18 year old boy in his first year of engineering decided to go to a bird sanctuary for a cycle expedition after his end semester break. Ram spread the message in his division and asked his close friends and asked them to take permission from their parents and make necessary arrangements for the trip. They started their expedition from their college towards the bird sanctuary. The bird sanctuary was 100km away, so they decided to cover the distance in 2 days and camping at appropriate towns and villages. While travelling they saw a lot of beautiful scenes and talked to local people about their life and bird watching. Once they finally reached the sanctuary they asked for a guide who could explain them and show them around. They took a lot of pictures and enjoyed the cycle expedition.
Great effort! Your story shows improvement. Here are a few suggestions to make it stand out: 1) Use words like “planned” for the bird sanctuary visit and research real names of such places to add credibility. 2) Since it’s an expedition, mention the necessary items to pack. 3) Instead of inviting just close friends, include every student from your batch. 4) Avoid an abrupt ending, rather try to talk more about expedition as it is your aim of the story and ensure the actions revolve around the main goal. Keep practicing, you're on the right track!
@@PrepBattalion thank you for the regular videos
I find it hard to decide a story on pictures where no person is visible or only a structure is there
For pictures with no visible person or just a structure: Imagine the activity related to the structure (e.g., school = education reform). Create a character working on or near it (e.g., an engineer or social worker). Pick neutral themes, nothing heroic. Practice regularly, and it’ll get easier. Feel free to share your ideas for feedback. All the best!
@PrepBattalion oh thanks I will give it a try
I noticed your TAT practice always includes apt negative pictures It's helping me a lot.
Great!! I hope you're able to tackle those pictures efficiently, in case you find any difficulty let us know. Keep practicing!!!
Your content always helps aspirants like me stay motivated. Keep it up!
Glad it's helpful!!
Can you give some tips on how to approach TAT I'm a fresher actually.
It's great to see freshers showing enthusiasm for TAT preparation. Here are some tips to approach TAT effectively: 1) Observe picture clearly and note key elements like the characters, setting, and actions happening. 2) Go for a positive theme and avoid falling under unnecessary pressure of time. 3) Structure story wisely i.e. intro, aim, actions, ending that completes story. 4) You can practice for different scenarios but make sure you always stay natural and do not fabricate your stories. Remember, TAT is not about writing extraordinary stories but reflecting your natural thought process and qualities. All the best for your SSB journey! Feel free to share any specific queries you have.

how do you tackle a group of bullies?? 16:02
Tackling bullies may require composure and confidence. Always keep your calm around such people and assertive while interacting with them and avoid any overwhelming emotion if you faced a bully as it further gives them the negative boost. Take help if necessary and avoid conflicts.
🙏🙏
What do i do if i don’t know the meaning of a particular word? How do i tacke that situation
In case you're unfamiliar with word you may write something generic but positive around it, but avoid writing anything random. You may also skip it and move onto next word. In order to prevent yourself from such situation improve your vocabulary over time and practice more to manage time well.
How do I manage time during the SRT?
Focus on writing crisp, action-oriented responses in 30 seconds or less. Avoid lengthy explanations; write only what you would practically do in the situation. Prioritize understanding the situation quickly and formulating an immediate solution. Practice regularly to improve speed and clarity.
@@PrepBattalionThanks for help i will give it a try.l
I have confusing themes on my mind, how do i find the best one, kindly help🙏
It's normal to feel confused when selecting a theme for PPDT. Here are some tips to help: Focus on the Central Character: Look closely at the person you perceive as the main character. Their age, gender, and profession can guide the theme. Identify the Problem: PPDT stories typically revolve around solving a problem. Keep it Positive and Practical: Avoid extreme or overly ambitious themes. Practice Themes in Advance: Prepare and practice with a variety of themes (e.g., education, health, environment, disaster relief) to have a quick pool of ideas during the test. Feel free to practice more on my channel or share your stories for feedback. All the best for your preparation!
@PrepBattalion thanks alot I'm gonna try all these and will get back with some good ppdt stories
1 Provide immediate first aid, give water, rest and drop home 2 reach nearest police station, give details, wait for owner to find 3 reach, talk and soothe kid, ask nearby, wait for parents, hand them kid 4 reach, check, inform security, manage safe exit, call 112, got under control 5 take charge, get progress details, complete with other teammates
Efficient response 👍
Thank you ma'am for this wonderful practice set.😊
You're welcome, keep practicing and let us know if you got any queries. All the best.
- FAMILY is where life begins - HELPLESS situations often come with new opportunities - a healthy mind resides in a healthy BODY - HAND is a powerful weapon when used wisely - HUNTING requires patience, skill and sharp instincts - EXCEPT the situation - BROKEN is the start of a new beginning - RING symbolizes a deep responsibility and commitment
Great efforts!!! Try making some more realistic sentences which relate to your personality.
Timetable helps in exam. Yoga gives energy in morning. Core exercises build stamina.
Great sentences, I hope you made these by relating such words to your PIQ.
@PrepBattalion Right after your advice I started relating my sentences with my piq and now I can see the difference. Thanks for feedback
Great series❤ but it would be nice if you provide a little hint or reason why the option is right in the answer sheet along with the option number.😊❤
Thanks for suggestion, i will surely add detailed answers, for now if you got any queries let me know. Keep practicing, all the best.

Sushma a 21 year old women was placed in a call centre of an edtech company. There she was tasked to sell more courses by talking to customers. Sushma started calling parents of children and explained to them about the various courses they offered and guided them step by step to help them make a informed decision. She also asked them to visit the offline centre for to learn about the offline courses if they didn't want to do online courses. She also asked the administration's permission and started providing them with demo classes. She also remained in touch after the students were enrolled and guiding and helping them through any difficulty they faced in the coaching. As a result of these actions companies sales increased and Sushma was praised by her colleagues.
Your story has a good starting, focus on these points to make it close to perfect. 1) give that company a name, which will show credibility. 2) try being a team player and also take help from seniors and colleagues. 3) by the end of story add emotions that will show gratitude towards people around you and don't just work for appreciation. Keep practicing!!! Jai hind
👍
Ye TAT girls wali h kya???
Nothing as such, they include all type of pictures taken from previous TAT's, You can practice them.
I perceived 6 characters in the picture, two woman and 4 male, one of the women is 25 and all others are in the age group of 45 to 50. The action of my story is building a startup. Sheila used to work in a company and she was very good at her job but she always wanted to start her own start up, so she quit her high paying job and decided to start a start up. One day she invited all the senior and experienced members she knew in her company and talked to them about her startup as they knew how hardworking she was they decided to help her and even join the startup in the future. To celebrate this Sheila had brought a cake and one of the women members got the cake to the table and they all celebrated the beginning of a new phase in their life. All of them were very happy and wanted to give their best to their project that they have undertaken,
The action of your story is not clear as you started with the aim of building a startup whereas you ended up only celebrating its success, there's nothing in your story which describes about you building the startup. 1) You should have a clear aim and make sure your actions are to achieve your aim. 2) Do not change the aim by the end of the story. 3) Do not try to fix your story into the picture rather form a story around the picture.
This is something new I found for ssb.
Please keep making this more
Surely!! We will, let us know if you need any specific topic for SSB.
24 M + Action: checking the LOC Ayush singh is a 24 year old man who completed his graduation in electrical and Electronics Engineering and applied for the SSC Tech entry in the Army. He cleared his exam in the first attempt and was posted to the LOC line of control to patrol the border. During his duty he kept surveillance of the border under his watchful eyes. He noticed a small part of the fensing was damaged. He observed closely the part of fensing, there is also no power supply to it so he immediately informed this to the higher authorities. They took immediate action to sort the problem. If he didn't notice this there might be a security issue and a chance of terrorists entering. He was appreciated for his attentiveness and he continued his duty.
Your story has a good foundation, but there are a few areas to improve for better impact: 1) Clarify the Aim Early: Start by introducing your hero and their aim in the first 2-3 lines. Avoid unnecessary details like "graduation in electrical and electronics engineering" or "clearing the exam on the first attempt" unless they directly tie into the story’s theme. Keep it grounded and relevant. Example: "Ayush, a young Army officer, was on patrol duty at the Line of Control, ensuring the security of the border." 2) Keep the Hero Realistic: Avoid making Ayush sound like a superhero. Instead, focus on his practical actions and decision-making skills that align with his role and responsibilities. This makes the story relatable and realistic. 3)Add More Action: Build on what Ayush does after noticing the damage. For instance, did he check other areas for vulnerabilities, coordinate with his team, or provide a quick fix to the problem while waiting for the authorities? Adding such details makes the story dynamic. By implementing these changes, your story will become more structured, realistic, and action oriented. Keep practicing, and you'll see improvement!
ravi was working in corporate sector and was quite settle. One day he interacted with his old school buddies and decided to arrange a get together at a common place. Ravi informed this to everyone, and decided a date agreed by majority. He arranged a location, arranged snacks and dinner. On the day ,they talked with each other, get to know each others story, future plans etc. They played some fun games, shared their memories, revived school time memories together.Watched old videos, video called other friends who couldnt join .Atlast they had food and left for their home the next.
You’ve got a nice story foundation here! To make it even stronger, consider the following points: 1) Specify Details: Mention a company name instead of just "corporate sector" for a realistic touch. 2) Add a Location Name: Naming the reunion place adds authenticity. 3) Eliminate Redundancy: Some sentences repeat ideas, so try rephrasing for simplicity and impact. 4) Order of Events: Think through the reunion activities step-by-step, beyond just chatting and eating. Consider including how Ravi organized the day, managed any unexpected issues, or encouraged friends to connect deeply. 5) Try Revising and Rewriting: Apply these adjustments to add flow to your story. Check out our latest video, where we discuss effective ways to approach PPDT stories with the right structure and perception. This will give you some helpful tips to refine your story!
@PrepBattalion thanks a lot! I'll improve
I personally loved it ❤
@@iamsakshichauhan I'm glad it was helpful, keep practicing!!!
Number of character -4 mood- + age 28 & 60+ Action: helping pensioners Rashmi, a 29-year-old running a CSC center in Panitola, Assam, was on her way to work when she saw her neighbors, Rama, Suresh, and Ragini, retired teachers, feeling very concerned. They felt uncomfortable in the long, crowded lines at the bank to submit their life certificates. Rashmi informed them about the government's Jeevan Praman initiative, which allows pensioners to submit their life certificates from a nearby CSP center or even from home. Seeing their discomfort, Rashmi invited them to her center. She took their PPO numbers, linked their Aadhaar, created their accounts, and took their biometrics. In just 10 minutes, she submitted their life certificates and gave them the account details and password for future use. This helped the pensioners easily submit their life certificates without the hassle of long waits, making their lives much more comfortable.
I perceive pictures well, but couldn't find the actions which he will do for the situation. What should I do?
It’s common to get stuck on finding actions! Here are some steps to help: First, identify the situation and your hero’s role-ask, what’s the core issue or objective? Then, follow these steps to practice: 1) After deciding the theme, list out actions your hero would take. 2) Write these in bullet points to stay organized. Allow yourself time; brainstorm everything that comes to mind. 3) Observe people around you engaged in daily tasks; it will inspire ideas. 4) For practice, consider simple scenarios like preparing for an exam-what logical steps would you take? With practice, finding suitable actions will become easier. Keep observing and practicing!
Thanks for these.😊

See this is not a story but a mere description of the picture, you need to make a story after looking at the picture, do listen to the instructions carefully I have given at the starting of every practice.
Suman is a 23 yrs old man currently employed in an IT sector company. He joined 3yrs ago and made good bonds with everyone. He has been assigned a project and he was appointed as the lead coordinator. He motivated his colleagues to complete it on time with hardwork and dedication. Suman saw that everyone is greatly involved in that project. After the completion of the project , to celebrate the success of project and to credit thier dedication Suman organized a small party at the company cafe and invited his colleagues. Suman shared some funny videos and made the moment joyful.
Points your story is missing: 1) No proper introduction to hero and his profession. 2) Your aim that is some project being assigned again is vague there is no information about what the project is about, in IT you may have hundreds of different projects. 3) Your story is completely missing actions. 4) So, in starting aim was about some project and while ending the story you are organizing a party. Follow a flow when writing a story with a crystal-clear aim, stay connected we will publish a video regarding PPDT approach soon.

@@Defence9837 This story is quite vague for now. Before starting to write a story follow these 4 steps: 1) introduction to hero 2) aim 3) required actions 4) aim achieved
Thanks it's quite helpful, can you please tell how do I improve my current affairs for my upcoming afsb, and does it matter if I'm not good at it?
Current affairs do play a role in the SSB, especially in areas like the interview, group discussions, and sometimes in lecturette topics. Not being strong in current affairs isn't a dealbreaker, but improving in this area can strengthen your confidence and responses. Follow our telegram channel where i post current affairs from ssb point of view. Keep practicing!!
@PrepBattalion thankyou so much, I'll start improving myself.
Is there any telegram channel of yours mam?
Yes ofcourse there is, you can look for 'PrepBattalion'.
I perceived one main character in the story. Sunita is a 22 year old lady who is a teacher and teaches hindi in the girls school. While she teaches the lesson she face problem like it is not clearly visible to the last bench, and also she used to rub the board everytime . So , she decided that it will better to install smartboard in the school which dont have all these problems .For this she talked to the principal and the principal successfully install the smartboard in the school .
You can also Encourage the student to focus on the impact of their actions, such as how the installation of the smartboard led to better understanding and engagement in class. This shift can add depth to the story, making it more compelling and showing a sense of purpose behind the character's actions. Keep practicing and improving yourself👍
@@PrepBattalion Thankyou for this valuable advice I really needed it I will keep working hard

Because of some educational and health issue the people of Palampur get unhappy from Government and started riots. ASP handled the situation by sending 100 police constable. He also get involved and calm down the crowd politely. He explained them that riot is not a solution. He took views from sarpanch of different villages about the reason of disagreement and conveyed it to the political party leader. The leader took some action to make the crowd happy. ASP was uploaded by DIG for his courage and sharpness. 11. Chris 28 year old assistant engineer in PWD department. The Delhi has recently affected by a flood and due to poor planning of the city the water get accumulated on roads and created inconvenience for 2 days. He was given the task to solve the problem in Delhi. So he went with his team , examined , and he decided to make a underground water drainage system and then connect it to the Yamuna river. He started the project joined streets , roads , Highways drain to the main drain which further linked to Yamuna. In next rainy season, the issue get resolved and Chris got applaud from the government.
All these stories had applause at the end. If you see, an officer doesn't work for appreciation, and one should focus on their actions rather than on recognition. So, try replacing the appreciation at the end of your stories with gratitude towards those who helped your hero achieve their goal.
1. Catherine 28 year old MBBS MD from AIIMS Delhi. There are many slums in Delhi also the children of slums are not getting proper medical care due to which they become victim of diseases like polio etc. So see analysed the slum area and talk to his senior to establish a polio camp. They got agreed. She went to the area measure height and weight of children and give them polio vaccine. She also told them about dengue and malaria and advise them to clean all collected water in the locality. She also give personal health responses to the parents of the child and advised them. The response from villagers was positive and she got happy. 2. Albert 18 year old BSc first year student. His parents lives in slum and are street vendor. So he decided to open a new business for his parents. He gathered money from his friends and parents. He also worked part time as a teacher to teach class 12th students . He then took a place in market for rent and open a garment shop. He ordered jeans , shirt , formal and sports wear etc. He also spread boardings of shop for marketing. He also offered sale of 50% . Slowly sales increased and they start getting financially stable.
Here in story 1, as you had a discussion regarding the situation with your seniors, it would be better if you also included them while taking actions in the slum as a team, The protagonist of your story doesn't need to do everything on his own. For story 2, when writing your aim of the story in very first two lines write the type of business you're planning for parents there itself as it will give your story and aim a clarity and then proceed with actions. Keep practicing!!
Thankyou soo much mam, it's extremely helpful please continue the series.

@@PrepBattalion Thank you so very much ma'am..
OIR has gone way past these . In TGC we were given questions from CI SI types and similar... Time too was low out of 50 we barely did 40 in Bangalore. I got screened in though. The picture was happening one
I agree that the difficulty level of OIR has indeed increased over time mostly for technical entries and yet they have also kept the same old DIPR booklets 73&74, 53&54 in some other SSB's. The time pressure can be intense, as you've pointed out, with the challenge being to balance speed and accuracy. That said, it's great to hear you got screened in despite the difficulty! I'll definitely keep this in mind for future practice sets to help candidates better prepare for these tougher questions.
